I am light speed, ridiculous speed, and ludicrous speed.

My Self-Summary

So I just got to San Francisco four months ago and I'm still adjusting to city-living, but I'm loving every minute of it. I'm a kid from the suburbs of Buffalo, NY and that fact that it hasn't snowed yet and it's November is still a bit bewildering, but I'm handling it pretty well.

I love new media design and technology, biking, ceramics (just joined a community studio!), wines (without being pretentious about it), camping, hockey!, karaoke/singing (though I can't actually sing), and your usual hodgepodge of music, movies, television, musicals and cirque.

What I’m doing with my life

Just graduated in May with a New Media degree and got a job working as a developer for one of the best advertising agencies in the world (why yes, this Flavor-Aid is delicious!), developing really awesome and popular websites and brand experiences.

I’m really good at

Dressing myself, crashing my bike, cheatin' the T, and being a Pop Culture Reference Regurgitation Machine (especially 30 Rock, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, and The Venture Brothers).

The first things people usually notice about me

Since getting out here it's been height, followed by an onslaught interrogation about why I'm wearing shorts and sandals and oh my God aren't you freezing, what is wrong with you, you're going to die of hypothermia!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Alastair Reynolds (love Hard SF), Neil Gaiman, Neal Stephenson, Warren Ellis, Stanislaw Lem, Chuck Palahnuik, David Sedaris, Willy Shakespeare. John Steinbeck and Arthur Miller can suck it.

Movies: I watch Requiem for a Dream and laugh the entire time. I will cry every time I watch The Fountain. Hard Candy (because Ellen Page is amazing), Tank Girl, The Fifth Element, Solaris, Stardust, Dogma, The Goonies, Slither, Silent Hill, Donnie Darko, Mel Brooks *, Shawn of the Dead. Wizard People, Dear Readers, a re-narration of the first Harry Potter movie is easily the funniest thing in our lifetime.

Music: Sia, Zero 7, Beirut, Florence + The Machine, The Beatles, Margot and The Nuclear So & So's, The Cranberries,Air, Rilo Kiley, Phoenix, MGMT, Panic!, Loreena McKinnett, Muse, Vampire Weekend, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Les Misérables. And Bowie.

Food: If you slather it in Buffalo Wing sauce, I will eat it. It could be a live goat, whatever, I'll eat it. Also, cheese.

The six things I could never do without

o Obligatory friends & family, so I don't sound like an emotionless bastard
o My hearing
o My vision
o Being upwardly mobile
o Unicorns
o Starlight

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The six things I could never do without. Especially unicorns.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drinking in some manner, I hope. It's either happy hour with co-workers, at some bar or a house party with friends, or throwing a party or wine tasting of my own.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

In my apartment I have three Snuggies, two Royal Blues and then one 'designer' Leopard Print edition. It's a quality of life issue.

You should message me if

You like a geek who isn't socially retarded and/or are also geeky; if you're looking to meet someone who prefers the 'Boy Next Door' scene and have similar tendencies.
