I'm a novelist who works as a creative writing professor, though I've cut back to working half-time in order to have time for my own writing---and to date. I was widowed three years ago and I'm now ready to meet someone new. I'm a lover of all the arts, intellectually curious, politically liberal, and very energetic. I love my city and all the natural beauty of the Bay Area. My two grown daughters live nearby as does my spunky mom. Life is good but would be better shared.

Right now I'm enduring major renovations on my comfortable old Edwardian house close to Golden Gate Park. I'm having two of my fireplaces made into gas fireplaces, and hope to be sitting cosily by one soon--maybe with you!
