I am cute, suffering, and over it.

My Self-Summary

Designerly, brainy professional into food and wine, including local sustainable things as well as various tiny foods at various tiny establishments. I like exercising, but I hate conventional sports, and people who watch sports. I try to be a productive and contributing member of society by working, volunteering, and consuming responsibly. Still, I hate 90% of people.

Nature is cool. I like trees, plants, and wildlife. I find all of these things cute, especially the latter.

Cats: Awesome.

What I’m doing with my life

Waking up, wandering around, designing things, using big words, bringing home the bacon, playing with the cats, decorating my house, using the internets. Wondering what I'm doing with my life.

I’m really good at

Providing intelligent answers to stupid questions.

The first things people usually notice about me

Depends on what's hanging out of my nose or stuck to my chin.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite podcasts are This American Life and Radiolab. I don't think Jonathan Goldstein is funny anymore, I just want to kick him in the nuts. I listen to books that I download from Audible.com, because I'm too much of a spazz to sit down and read. I've got david sedaris, michael pollan and dave eggers in my queue.

I <3 soul music. R&B, classic soul, northern soul, latin boogaloo, etc. I also like downtempo and electro, salsa, latin jazz, FANIA records and anything with complex rhythms. If you like to dance, lets go.

The six things I could never do without

I'm pretty adaptable, honestly, although, it's pretty hard to quit food, and commas (also parentheses).

I do enjoy a nice hot bath, and a nice soft kitty to snuggle up with. 2% organic lactose free milk? That's 5 (not counting the parenthetical). Panties? Wait, that's not true. Cookies.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Weird japanese things.

On a typical Friday night I am

crying a single tear.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I listen to the Sunday Night Slow Jamz with R Dub, every week, on purpose. I find it culturally relevant in a way I can't articulate.

Also, I used to be a member of that "community center" where unattractive people with questionable life skills go to do weird things to each other. I even tried poly, before that big party in the desert was a thing. At present, I would prefer a committed earnest relationship with a high-quality human being.

You should message me if

...you are a human being or a cute animal with amazing dexterity. Or, you like to dance to salsa or soul music. Or, if you have an advanced degree or two and think you might be too old for this shit.
