I am eclectic, reserved, and huggable.

My Self-Summary

Let's see... 22 years old, currently working 3 jobs, though I'm thinking of quitting one because they're not giving me enough shifts. Living at home whilst I save for a car, looking for something like an old Skyline or Commodore.

My dream is to one day own and run my own cafe one day, been working in hospitality ever since high school. It's one of the things that I have absolute confidence in myself about, because I know I can do it. Thinking of taking a business management course to get me started with that.

I tend to spend what little free time I have reading, or talking to my friends. My love is fantasy, all witches and wizards and knights and chivalry. I think I would have liked to live back then, maybe I did in a past life, who knows?

What I’m doing with my life

Well, I work with my dad at the moment, he runs the warehouse for a clothing importer in Preston. So lots of lifting and moving stuff around. I bet no one ever thought I'd be doing that, but I am. It's actually not that bad a gig, my dad is one of the few people I really admire and respect, and he's a fair boss.

My other main job is basically helping run a canteen for the local footy club, which tends to be pretty hectic. Always running back and forth, frying up more greasy crap that everyone seems to gorge themselves upon at a sporting match. Not that I care, I'm cooking it, not eating it. Well, eating much of it...

I went and saw Avenue Q recently, please do yourselves a favor and go see this excellent comedic masterpiece while you can, the laughs were non stop all night, it was magnificent.

I’m really good at

I'm awesome at video games, I'm a total freak speed reader as well. I'm a good listener too. I'm usually pretty good at making people laugh, but my jokes can be rather lame at times.

Cooking? I'd like to think that I'm a good cook. I love cooking with garlic and onions. I love making stir frys and lasagne. I'm also good at making cakes, I've been doing cake decorating for 4/5 years now. I've even won a 1st prize at my local festival before.

I'm a good listener, and I'm good at making people feel wanted. I very much enjoy the right peoples company, as long as they don't mind talking :) At least enough to get started, I'm not very good at that.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not sure, do they ever notice? I guess maybe the books I read. Maybe my eyes? I guess they might notice me trying to surreptiously check them out.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Authors - David Eddings, Raymond E. Feist, Garth Nix, Anne Bishop, George R.R. Martin. Most fantasy/sci-fi stuff captures my interest.

Movies - Die Hard, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, most Miyazaki films. Anything actiony/comedy suits me. Fan of Adam Sandler, he never fails to make me laugh.

TV - I love anime, and cartoons, and all that stuff. I've been having twinges of nostalgia lately, lading me to search out for such classics as Samurai Pizza Cats, the old Earthworm Jim cartoon, and the original X-Men cartoon. Mainstream TV, I guess I mostly watch House M.D., Law & Order and I'm recently getting into Supernatural

Music - The Hush Sound, they're kinda an alternative indie rock band, a Canadian friend got me onto them. Lacuna Coil, The Killers, Kelly Clarkson]] (I still maintain she's the only decent *insert country here* Idol winner. My tastes are pretty eclectic, I think random things from random bands. Oh, favorite old time band is the Skyhooks though.

Food - I'm a sucker for a good curry. Or a nice salad. And don't forget all the bad things, chips, chocolate, ice cream, those are givens though.

The six things I could never do without

My family - They've always stuck by me and loved me, no matter what.

My friends - They all have their problems and idiosyncracies, but I couldn't imagine life without them.

Books - My escape! My realm of dreams and fantasy!

Love - I may have grown up a solitary person, but I value love very highly.

Money - Useful for buying more books. And for my eventual automobile. And for treating nice women to first dates, when that happens.

Internet - Hard to imagine life without it, these days.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Usually depends on how much sleep I got. If I got a lot of sleep, I've probably got random music lyrics running through my head. If I didn't get much sleep, I'm thinking about sleep.

On a typical Friday night I am

Sitting at home reading or playing video games. Drawing maybe, listening to music, watching random anime. On rare occasions, I head over to a friends place to chill with them. Or spend a night with my parents.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I sleep with the same teddy I slept with as a baby. He's my oldest friend =)

You should message me if

If you feel like talking, I guess? I don't bite, and I'd be happy to hear from anyone, really =)
