My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Tall, long haired and red headed, third generation NY'r, minus the accent. Musician, producer, engineer. Realistic idealist, firmly believing in my ideals as rational and achievable, with plenty of hard work.

I'm drawn to balance and empathy.

Politically, I don't subscribe to one party, I subscribe to ideas, though infinitely less Republican ideas.

Often late ... not half-hour-late, more around 10-min-or-so-late - it's a work in progress. Full disclosure.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I tend to work a lot, keeping many balls in the air. This includes my career - which can mean a number of different things, depending on the day - and my music.

I work with audio, producing and recording bands, mixing films and TV shows.

My passion is my own music, currently fronting my own band, singing and playing drums.

Beginning to do more composing for picture.

Looking for something lasting, but in the meantime, looking to enjoy myself and not force anything.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Keeping a whole lot of balls in the air (get your mind out of the gutter ... kidding, I'm a big fan of the gutter).
The first things people usually notice about me

Not sure, who are these people? Probably once you talk to me a bit, people begin to realize I don't think like a lot of people.

This needed to be updated, 2013 has been an incredible year for music ... the new QOTSA is ridiculously good, if you liked them at any point, stop reading this and go listen to it. The new James Blake, I'm jealous. He's brilliant, sensitive, sexy, and he has RZA on one track, what more could you want.

Still warming up to, but not sure about, there's a new National record, new Kanye, I've recently discovered liturgy ... a lot to listen to.

And some old standbys, Deftones, Sly and the Family Stone, Bad Brains, Jeff Buckley use to be religion for me, still is to a large degree. Elton John, on and on ...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

My sister and her family
A glass of good bourbon (update: don't drink too much these days, though an occasional good glass of bourbon is still nice)
Spell check and/or my dictionary app
Lip balm
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Music and creating.
Understanding my mind ... which also means understanding how all of our minds work.
The bigger picture.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

As you've probably already noticed, I have a mustard fetish. (Joking, I don't actually have a mustard fetish, not that I'm aware of.)
