My self-summary
I was watching Community when I made this, and they said the words 'Sam and Diane'. I chose that for my username. I don't watch Cheers, but I hear it's great. Now they won't let me change it...

I'm a New York native who moved to LA and genuinely likes it here. In grad school to make movies, but rediscovered my love for improv and comedy while out here.

I think I'm a decent guy. Try to be, at least.
What I’m doing with my life
According to OKCupid, I'm Online now!*... which probably means I'm procrastinating work I should be doing.

Finishing grad school, living life! (Note: this is like the 4th draft of trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life in this application alone. I gave up.)

I'm doing a lot of comedy stuff. Improv mostly, writing also. Dabbling in other junk.
I’m really good at
making people laugh, occasionally, sometimes. Writing. Creative stuff. I can make a mean scrambled eggs, and if you're lucky, a scrambled eggs with cheese, and if you're vegan, I can cook absolutely nothing. I'm really good at going to diners as a result.
The first things people usually notice about me
the passion for Diet Coke. Often a Yankees logo or some kind of movie-related t-shirt.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Horror movies, comedies, The Simpsons, NBC sitcoms not named Whitney, Community, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Carnivale, Dead Like Me, Twin Peaks, The Office, Parks and Rec, classic rock (Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Who, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Beatles...) and some indie rock/folk (The Mountain Goats, Midtown Dickens, The Moldy Peaches...).

I am a pizza, cheeseburger, thai and chinese food kinda guy.

As a huge Yankee fan in LA, the MLB Network is also where a lot of my TV is watched.

Jurassic Park is an amazing film, but so are Anchorman and Walk Hard. Big into horror movies - I recently saw "The House of the Devil" at the New Beverly and it was an amazing experience.

Super is my favorite movie of 2011; Scott Pilgrim was my favorite of 2010.

I also go to see THE ROOM whenever possible, occasionally wearing a Tommy Wiseau wig, always bringing spoons.
On a typical Friday night I am
at a comedy show somewhere in the LA area, or hanging out.
