What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently finished working on the video game Lost Planet 3. I was a 3d artist for 7 years, worked at Nickelodeon for a bit and now I'm a video game level designer. Life is good. I've found being uncompromising in doing exactly what I want to do in my career and life has paid dividends...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at 3D, drawing, following recipes, eating slowly, being the best DJ in my living room, finding redeeming qualities in bad movies.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I meet someone new, I'm generally pretty low-key, friendly and approachable. With my good friends I'm crass and ridiculous.

I'm a mix of introvert and extrovert.

Books: novels by Haruki Murakami. Bertrand Russel philosophy. Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens stuff. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately; Elements of Jazz, Ender's Game, Pound Foolish, Wherever you go there you are, personal mba, reality is broken, power of habit...

Graphic novels: Shortcomings, Summer Blonde and 32 Stories by Adrian Tomine. Blackhole by Charles Burns. Blankets and Goodbye Chunky Rice, Habibi by Craig Thompson.

Movies: generally, intelligently crafted films with coherent themes, films that make me laugh, and mindless action flicks.

music: I really love soulful house music although lately I've been getting into the harsher sounds of electro and some indie rock. I also really like jazz and the nostalgia of 90's alternative. examples: justice, mylo, crystal castles, la roux, little boots, hot chip, MGMT, little dragon, girls, killers, simian mobile disco, mark farina, ian pooley, collette, kaskade, armand van helden, go team, nina simone, postal service, sublime, third eye blind, coltrane, wynton marsalis, royksopp, rjd2, pink martini, regina spektre, mindless self indulgence, brazilian girls, chopin, LCD Soundsystem, smashing pumpkins. metric, yeah yeah yeahs, etc etc etc. I like everything.

games: I play a lot of games. Bioshock Infinite, FTL, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, some mobile games.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, Music, Eggs Benedict, Video games, phone, reddit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
this question is a trap. I'm on to you, OKC....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
catching up with friends over a beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a slightly colorblind artist. I get by with the Photoshop color picker and reference images and concept art. Irony.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if... you're curious about the world and can teach me something and want to learn something from me. You prefer rationalism over emotionalism but live passionately, if you're a music connoisseur. if you're some sort of art geek. if you like video games. if you're a film nerd. But I'm realizing I don't really care about commonalities. If you're sweet and have good character, send me a message! Because if we miss each other, that would be tragic.
