My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Oi lives out in the sticks oi do! I'm not a secret crazy murdering redneck though, I actually make books for a living rather than nipple belts and skull lampshades. I like to think of myself as a creative person. I studied art for many many years and like to keep my hand in by painting and drawing as much as i possibly can. I love being outdoors and am also massively interested in history and all things old and from them days. So a walk that takes in an adventure round a ruined castle followed by a lovely brew in a nice old pub is my kind of afternoon. Possibly with tea and biscuits somewhere in between. Failing that I'm always up for a bit of an all night Jungle sesh instead... unfortunately there's not much of that around in Shropshire so it means having to travel a bit :)

Currently training in Wing Chun which means that I'm capable of one-inch punching someone through the thickness of 50 beautifully bound leather books without leaving a scratch on them... while balancing on one leg... and nipping flies out of the air with chopsticks with my free hand... and so forth.

I'm interested in people who are reasonably well travelled (ie, have been outside of their hometown more than a couple of times), have a decent grasp of the English language and are capable of writing a sentence without feeling the need to stick LOL at the end of it. Anything else is a bonus. Chars. Oh... and... oooo arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol... shit
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working full-time as an artisan book binder which basically means that i make posh expensive books for posh expensive people. Living in the middle of nowhere is all very lovely and beautiful but i try to get into the city as much as i can so i can see and visit real people. Talking to horses gets a bit boring after a while.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Errrr... i'm not quite sure that i'm REALLY good at anything. I'm quite good at some stuff. I bake a mean scone, I bind a killer book... there's a pig that i obviously feed extremely well as it is quite obese! And, um... I'm very good at playing silly buggers.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've no idea. I'm not in the habit of asking them. That would be rather narcissistic

Books - Don Quixote (see username), The Iliad, The Odyssey, pretty much anything by Hunter S. Thompson, the Flashman series by G. Macdonald Fraser, Perfume, Tolkien, Pullman's Dark Materials series, anything by Neil Gaiman, Wilde... errr... well i'm pretty game for trying most books to be honest. No Fifty Shades of Shite or anything though. A book needs to be at least reasonably well written. Currently reading some non-fiction stuff by Naomi Klein and Richard Dawkins.

Movies - Hard to say. A few that are up there are Delicatessen, Oldboy, Scarface, Leon, King of Comedy, North By Northwest and about a million others. Don't get me going on films, i own literally hundreds of them.

Music - Depends where i am and what i'm doing but when i'm at home i generally listen to folk, blues or 60's/70's music. Soooo... Son House, Skip James, Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, Vetiver, John Martyn, Roy Harper, Otis Redding, Led Zep, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa and Beck are just a few
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music. Books. Friends and family. Fresh air. The promise of travel and adventure. Coffee.

In an ideal world all of these things would be together all the time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm a natural meditator. My mind empties very easily :) But since i spend far too much of my time at work, i end up thinking about that a lot. Luckily i enjoy what i do so i don't think about how much of my thinking time it takes up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm usually having a reasonably early night because i work most saturday mornings. If i'm not working the next day then i may be out in Birmingham with friends or having a swift beer in the local
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This would be the most public place to reveal something private. I'm not really willing to reveal anything even vaguely private to potentially thousands of strangers
