Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Honestly? I am so tired of on-line dating! Here I am, though, for
perhaps my last blast at this. Seeking the ever-elusive chemistry
connection with enough common interests thrown in. Shouldn't be so
I am active, slim and very young for my age, both mentally and
physically. I live and work in San Francisco, where I commute to
work by bike. I have a love/hate relationship with The City and am
definitely not set on staying here indefinitely. High on my list of
enjoyments include food (foodie:)), red wine, travel, exploring new
areas/cities, cooking for one, two or 8!, reading, NPR and BBC,
friends, both new and old, my darling granddaughter, not yet two,
movies, art openings, and any number of other fun activities.
What am hoping for? A kind and honest man who is truly looking for
a LTR. Someone who is a bit cosmopolitan, yet down-to-earth, who
enjoys food and wine, planning that next trip or just having a
quiet evening at home alone or with friends. If he leans to the
left politically and is not overly religious that will work best
with me. A love for animals, specifically dogs (and cats) is a must
(at least a tolerance ;)). Hopefully you have a sense of humor and
aren't too awfully rigid in your routines. My dad is still going
strong at 93, so I'm planning to have the best third of my life
ahead of me. Want to join?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an RN working at a large, local hospital recovering patient's
after surgery. Have worked as a nurse my entire career. Hope to
retire in a few years. I have three great adult children, all
living fairly locally, and a darling little granddaughter. Several
close friends, many from 35-55 years both here and abroad, and some
wonderful newer ones. Travel, planning trips or short get-aways,
cooking, walking, cycling, exploring, wine tasting....all better
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Planning, coming through, loyalty, honesty, entertaining friends
and family, kissing, making my home a place you want to be.

to Sue Grafton, to the Dragon Tattoo series, wonderful sagas like
Cutting for Stone; really enjoyed Franzen, poetry of Billy
Favorite movies include Breakfast at Tiffany's, In the Heat of the
Night, The Bjorn series, When Harry Met Sally, The Beginners,
I like listening to NPR, esp. Wait, Wait, don't tell Me, This
American Life. As for TV, Masterpiece Theater, The Good Wife, West
Food?? So hard to describe as I love most of it, both cooking with
and eating. Some non-negotiable favorites are olives, great
cheeses, red wine, dark chocolate, nice strong latte in the morning
(love my nespresso pixie).
I enjoy music but am not one to have it on 24/7. Like classical,
vocal jazz, as well as Dylan, Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Something to look forward to
Good food and wine
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the next 30 years will bring.....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends,
or TIRED and home relaxing with a good leftover and some wine
