Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Things I’ve learned from online dating…
…everyone’s a world traveler and you’re probably reading this on a
Swiss mountain top.
…some people post pictures taken during the Reagan administration –
the loafers with no socks should have tipped me off!
…there’s a positive correlation between the words, “No drama,
please,” and the amount of drama to expect.
…that “confident” can be a euphemism for “not confident at
I’ve learned that there is nothing more appealing to me than
someone who can just be himself both online and off. If you think
you’re awesome and think other people are pretty awesome too, then
you’re my kind of guy. It takes a special kind of person to not
feel the need to better (or worse) than anyone else and who can
just be happy in his own skin.
Things I’ve learned about myself:
I’m a happy, optimistic person (I’m still here after all I’ve
learned!). I enjoy doing anything creative. I like team sports and
being outdoors, but I’ll only go on a run if I’m chasing something
- like my dog or the ice cream man. I have a live and let live
attitude. I want to be a better person today than I was yesterday.
The little things make me happy – like when someone opens a door
for me. It’s hard to embarrass me. I think weird is good and
authentic is the best. I’m fascinated by people and the wonder of
life. I get things done, but sometimes stop just to watch the
clouds roll by. I’m usually on-time, but realize on occasion,
*&^% happens. Sometimes I’m concerned, but I’m usually not
worried. I believe that at the end of the day what matters most are
the people I love.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I manage creative people doing web-based design work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a friend. Listening. Expanding my awareness. Knowing what
makes people tick. Making good conversation. Being direct, but
tactful. Cooking. Wise-cracking.
The first things people usually notice about me

People comment on my smile, so I am going with that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read a lot of online articles and studies and a handful of
fiction and a bunch of non-fiction books each year. I tend to like
independent films, documentaries, and too many genres of music to
name. I enjoy all kinds of food (cooking it and eating it).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends, my family, my dog, introspection, Google & cheese.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything! I always try to figure out the "why" behind the "what".
I find people-related issues especially fascinating.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typical? Well, that's boring - I prefer atypical!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's not private if I post it on the world wide web, now is it?

You know who you are and feel pretty good about it! Are
well-balanced, good-natured, can be down right silly at times,
don't spend much time thinking about what other people think of
you, say what you mean and mean what you say, have a long fuse,
think the glass is half full, and love this crazy life we are lucky
enough to live!
