My self-summary Propose an edit

I decided to use this self-summary section to try something new…honesty. Looking at this profile, it seems like another way in which I need to impress other people with all of my interesting qualities and set myself apart from the million other profiles you have probably read. Well, I don’t really know what those qualities are or how I am different from the other lines of text attempting to qualitatively describe one’s personality.

I have a career that I am passionate about, that challenges me mentally, and allows me to make a meaningful difference to society, but it keeps rather busy. I have a few friends that I am lucky to have in my life and many others that are nice to know, but definitely have flaws that annoy me. All said, it’s a pretty good life.

A few things about me:
I love cars, especially classic cars, and feel that they are works of art.

I love black and white photography and feel that it conveys something that color photography just cannot.

I spend a good deal of my free time reading religion and philosophy in the hopes of gaining a better understanding of my views on life. I’m often left with more questions than answers.

I feel that having a deep understanding of politics and greater social issues is important, though the political power of most individuals is often overestimated.

Working with my hands relaxes me.

movies - Anything that makes me think is a start (Lions for Lambs most recently), mostly indie films.

food - Middle eastern/north African food, Indian food, Vietnamese, Italian etc. I love a good gastronomic experience.

music - a vast array of different genres... Jazz, Blues, Metal, Classical, Hip hop
