My self-summary
I am the youngest of four children by MANY years (and became an aunt when I was only 10). My family likes to make fun of each other a lot, and I think this has made me fairly resilient. My three siblings call themselves the OK's - the original kids. I'm still working my way in.

I get overly excited when I meet somebody else who went to my tiny college in Minnesota. I also get overly excited talking about roller coasters, research, and summer camp.

I spend a lot of my free time discovering new trails. I think that places always look most beautiful while running.

I was born in CT but mostly call Boston home.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a PhD student in cognitive psychology - I study how people reason about the relationship between the mind and the brain, how we make bioethical judgments, and how disgusting things influence political judgments. Disgust is the most fascinating emotion. I bet I could convince you of this.

I think it's pretty awesome that I'm paid to learn.
I’m really good at
Mixing several varieties of cereal together in the perfect ratio.

Analyzing running gait. I used to work at a running store and know a uselessly huge amount about foot shape, pronation, and what shoe you should wear.

I also have impeccable Jewdar.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Iron and Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Wilco, Andrew Bird, Nickel Creek, Sigur Ros, Neko Case.

I really like TV and getting caught up in the lives of my fictional friends. I'm still recovering from the final season on Breaking Bad. Other favorites are Friday Night Lights, Lost, Criminal Minds, and Parenthood. I thought that season two of Orange is the New Black was incredible.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Brains, emotions (the empirical kind).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a soft spot for plaid and beards.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 23–32
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You would challenge me to a game of Scrabble or Bananagrams or Set.

You like stepping on crunchy leaves and wish that the Bay Area had a true Fall.

Or perhaps if you consider yourself quirky, confident, and get really excited talking about (and teaching others) what you do.
