I am: a mother of an eight year-old girl (gasp I feel old); have a BA in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Legal Studies; and work as a corporate paralegal.

I grew up in western NY state and did my undergrad on the beach in Wilmington, NC. I've been in Texas since '02 and Austin since '08 and I love it! The rest of the state leaves a bit to be desired..but Austin makes up for it. I miss my family a lot, but my daughter helps me wake with a smile every day. She is my priority in life.

I like routine until it drives me crazy and I force myself to try something new..I consider myself mature, but for some reason I have a crush on Justin Timberlake..I over-analyze everything, but enjoy a couple of drinks to flip that switch when I have some free time...Pop culture annoys me but you can find me watching Blind Date late at night..I'm usually the only one laughing at my jokes, but it's the most sincere laugh I have...I never trust my instinct even though it's always dead on..

Waiting for year-end reviews to see if I'm appreciated at work.

Making people really uncomfortable.. Making people really comfortable.. Introspection.. Driving friends crazy with my what-if's and rants.. Getting a party going.. Getting my daughter to smile even though she's adamant about being ornery.. Showcasing my Merriam-Webster type skills.. Being competitive.. Making Pot Roast.. Perseverating.. Growing mold along the baseboards.. Being frugal with money.. Staying up later than I should..

My eyes, or my curly hair. Possibly my hobbit-like posture.

Historical fiction, especially love Steinbeck. Recently I've become enthralled with Murakami. Anything witty and quick is good too.

I like lots of music-just ask.

Movies--anything but Science Fiction, romantic-comedies, one-liner ridden action or gore.

Mediterranean, Mexican and Chinese. Yum.

My daughter; my family; my friends; my sanity; my ability to read; and good conversation.

How much I'm over-thinking. That's not even sarcasm, I swear.

Hanging out with my daughter, at a good friend's house, or reading a book.

I'm still in my pee-pee pants. (Come on that's a hilarious movie!)

You're thick-skinned but compassionate, manly but not chauvinistic, adventurous without being wildly irresponsible, able to carry a conversation or a tune (the conversation will get you further), not needy but also not indifferent, and cute. And FOR THE LOVE OF PETE-don't bother if you don't have a sense of humor. A dry, sarcastic, possibly injurious sense of humor.
