My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm just now realizing how I keep learning something new about myself everyday. I am a work in progress.

I am somewhat shy, which surprisingly enough, persons misinterpret as me being standoffish or arrogant which I don't think is the case at all. Once you get to know me, I can be your staunchest ally. I have very good friends who think I am the cat's meow ;)

In any event I'm very driven, motivated to succeed and not afraid of hard work. I enjoy travelling (minus the airport bit) and learning new stuff. Witty/intelligent conversations get my motors going and I've been told that my funny-side brightens many a gloomy day.

In my line of work I more often than not put others before myself. I am not however a pushover. I just believe once you treat somebody how you would like to be treated - you can never go wrong (...unless you're a masochist...then things can get kinda iffy)

I like being with people who get me. Non-judgemental people who are honest and fun-loving. I've been known to while away a free day on a new bestseller I bought just for that occasion (Books are a bit of an aphrodisiac). I also enjoy a good flick; and I don't discriminate - thrillers, horror, comedy, drama - I'm all in.

Recently started "the gym thing"; not for any vain reasons; solely because I think a healthy mind should be accompanied by a healthy body (and vice versa). Next up is soul-enrichment...that's gonna be a biggy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just came back from Trinidad where I successfully completed my exams. I am now a full-fledged specialist (yaaay me!) It's been a looooong tortuous journey.

The part of my job I like the most is seeing a patient come back to the hospital for follow-up care, knowing that my contribution made it possible for them to be alive. Not a God-complex, mind you - I leave that to the surgeons. It's just humbling to be able to help the critically ill.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being objective and offering good advice. Have always been told I should have done psychology instead, just not into the mind games.

I've also been told I am a really great friend, so if that's a skill- there you have it :)

If I had to hazard a guess I'd say my smile. Though it would depend on the gender asked, most guys polled trended towards "boobs"........ I am still gonna go with my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Wow. I love reading. Stephen King has always been a favourite. Recently got introduced to fantasy novels so I am currently on George R. R. Martin's fourth novel in The Song of Ice & Fire series. Also love Ludlum, Gladwell, J. R. Ward.

Traditionally prefer fiction, but non-fiction rocks my boat just as easily.

I confess, I may watch a tad too much tv. I love BBT and Family Guy, Game of Thrones, True Blood and I liked Spartacus before it got all weird in this last season.

I've watched so many good (and bad) movies that it would be sacrilegious to pinpoint a favourite. But I love The Last Castle, Gladiator, Pretty Woman (what girly girl doesn't?) X-men series, LOTR, Taken, anything Pixar, Avatar, Forrest Gump, Braveheart, just to name a few....

MUSIC - I love music. Fullstop. My Bob Marley cd's are right next to Linkin Park and Paramore. Spent a couple years in Cuba so Salsa and Merengue are in the mix as well. Big Luther, Mary J., Eminem and Coldplay & Chopin..I'm all over the place

FOOD - Italian and Sushi are very high on my list of faves. My local cuisine is a must, but willing to eat almost anything once it's properly prepared.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Tempted to say air, food and water..

But seriously though, this life has taught me that there are many things/persons I once thought were indispensable, that I can now indeed do without.

But.. I am quite attached to my family and a handful of close friends, my books, my cell phone and East Japanese's fried salmon roll. That leaves one space to be filled...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my future entails. I can't wait to see all the wonderful things I will be doing with my life :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably in the ICU.

If I am not at work I'd be at the movies, or hosting a movie night at home, having a drink out with friends or just some QT with me :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Define "private" :s
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you are straightforward and not easily intimidated by confident, down to earth women ;)

You should NOT message me if after a single online conversation you expect me to meet a virtual stranger :/ Worse if it's for the generic "hook-up." To date, there is nothing in my profile that says "fast&easy"...

.....even worse if you are married posing as single -_- keep it moving right along: nothing here screams "homewrecker"
