Me = Sarcastic, outgoing, science nerdy, heart on sleeve kind of guy and driven. I love traveling, being active and playing music is an obsession. I don't take a lot of things overly serious... except for writing this thing. It's a lot of pressure to write about yourself so that thousands of people can figure out if they "like" you or not. I'm thinking an anxiety attack is looming... I really hope I don't say anything embarrassing... actually, I really have to use the water closet right now so I don't really care...

In short, I'd say I'm kind of a motivated guy, I love new "adventures" and that all accompanies a strange hint of social goofball.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

I'm teaching at a state university, which is consuming enough to explain what I'm doing with my life, but outside of that I try to quote Bill Murray in opportune moments (I believe he is the Confucius of our time), try exotic cheeses, drink beer because that's what upper-midwesterners do, note useless facts about everything to everyone I meet, travel and stay pretty active by cycling, running, hiking and chasing my dog when he tries to run away (it's a great workout).

My career, conversation (I love learning from other people), outdoors/exercise, making people laugh, being a beer snob and I will win every time at connect four. I'm thinking about making a Youtube page to show my conquests of connect four and where's waldo. I bet people would watch? You would.

I guess I never really cared that much to know what they notice first? Probably my smile? Maybe my sarcasm? Why don't you tell me?

Music- Mumford & Sons (their new album is AMAZING), Lumineers, Trampled by Turtles, Black Keys...
Movies- Dumb and Dumber, Anchorman, Bill Murray, There will be blood
Books- Anything in transcendentalism. Thoreau is incredible, especially Walden.
Food- I only dislike two things - When there are too many raw white onions on something and rutabagas. Also... I hate bubble gum. I dont mind other people using it...but it's sticky. Gross.

Family/Friends, music, being outside, my guitar, good beer and apples.

Everything.... But I really enjoy contemplating the concept of scale and how in all we have learned during the scientific endeavor we always reach a scale of study/theory in all fields were we just do not know what's beyond – and the more we learn the more we discover at progressively smaller and smaller scales. Maybe the understanding universe is a scale of the infinite?

hanging out with friends at a local dive or traveling on to wherever the next adventure may be.

I don't have "private" things in my world, so I'll just list things that most people might find unusual... I'm strangely obsessed with the color orange. I am personally bringing back the bowtie. Spinach, apples and cheese are my favorite foods. My guitars name is Chumbawumba and I turn classic hip-hop songs into acoustic ballads. I listen to dubstep/electronic (sometimes) and I don't know why? Digging Bassnectar lately. All I know is that it makes me want to spaz out (yes, I still use spaz). I thoroughly enjoy breweries. I can't take a shower without music.
