My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm trying to become the model of the modern man, but often I just come out looking goofy, and have fun doing it.

I'm just trying to enjoy life. I'm incredibly passionate, and ambitious about my career, and my hobbies. Additionally, I enjoy learning about a wide variety of subject areas such as economics, science, and engineering -- I go to a few Meetups where we talk about academic papers together. I thoroughly enjoy the company of other thinkers. Even though I grew up in the Bay Area, but I always enjoy the company of new folks.

I love sharing new experiences with others such as food (dine about town anyone?), adventure (let's go somewhere, and get lost), and travel (choose a place on a map, and we'll fly there this weekend). The feeling that people get when they have new experiences is pretty amazing, and incredibly unique. Sharing a new experience together is even better.

If you're into the Myers-Brigg thing, let me know, and I'll tell you more.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I live in SoMa, and love my beautiful little home.

If I'm out and about, you'll usually find me at a science museum. At some point during the week you'll usually find me trying an interesting, or new restaurant.

I've also been spending a lot of my free time learning more about distributed databases, and distributed systems in general since I lack classical training in the subject matter.

Next weekend:
Why don't you tell me?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Drinking. I don't mean that I drink a lot, but I really enjoy the taste of different types of alcohol. You can usually find me at a nice wine bar.

• I work pretty well under a little pressure. Without 5 am deadlines, I'm a lazy bum.

• Burning things while cooking them. This is something I'd like to get worse at. Maybe you can help‽

• Ignoring my phone. Always. I like it when people pay attention when they talk. I appreciate that from others as well.

‣Also, according to my coworkers, apparently I'm good at the computers, or something.

I'm really bad at:
◦ Eating a proper breakfast, and of course I am more or less incapable of waking up early. All the best fun is at night though, right?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd like to think it's my hair. Although, everybody says this, I think you should tell me what you think.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Chuck Palahniuk is my favourite author, and I'd be hard-pressed to decided whether I like Fight Club, or Choke better.

Ender's Game is also an amazing book. I recently watched the movie, and I was impressed by how well it was done.

In terms of movies, My favourites are The Matrix, V for Vendetta, and Watchmen.

I like a variety of music depending on the mood. Daft Punk, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack, Gorillaz, Phoenix, and Cake are all awesome in my book. I've seen Gorillaz, Weezer, and Cake live, and they were amazing.

I love radio (NPR, PRI). This American Life, Serial, Freakonomics Radio, Planet Money, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, How to Do Everything, and Radiolab are all great. Story telling by audio puts so much more strain on the storyteller to convey emotions using their voice, and writing style rather than flashy special effects.

I love coffee, and I'm a home barista. My preference is to take my coffee as espresso, straight, chased by some Pellegrino.

As far as TV shows I'm into - Arrow, Person of Interest, and Agents of Shield.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee: The stuff keeps me awake, and it's delicious.
Computers: They're wonderful devices that provide lots of mysteries to solve
Cell phone: It keeps me in constant contact with the world
Internet: Again, I love being connected. Imagine if the government built a system that is resilient to nuclear attack, and transfers information at the speed of light. Now imagine if you had access to it. You do. It's called the internet.
Something to learn: I am an information sponge.
People: People are cool, without them, all of the above would be useless.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing the same thing as any other night. Trying to take over the world.

Nah, I'm not that much of a meglomaniac. Typically out having a drink with coworkers, or some friends. Fridays are the day to unwind. I'd like to start going to more concerts, and such.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a bit of a sapiosexual, I hope you are too.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you'd like to have some fun, or a deep, intellectual conversation about anything. The best conversations are unplanned ones, that go late into the night. They're even better if you can tell me something I don't know. Ideally, you're a like-minded, ambitious individual who knows what they want in life.

If you can teach me to be an aficionado about the finer things in life.

I think meeting up as quickly as possible is ideal. I mean, the whole point of this website is to go out together, right? Being online penpals is fun, but that's really not what I'm looking for.
