My self-summary
I'm very excited about life. I feel quite happy sometimes, but as nature doesn't allow us, we can't be that way all the time. It's the most impressive fact about life anyone can have, we've been living in this yin and yang stuff, ups and downs, good and bad, beautiful and ugly, cheerful and depressive. After getting used to this idea, it's quite funny noticing how things go on, turning every time from one side to the opposite. And I'm just like this! But I'm not bipolar, okay? haha
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to understand what I really want. I've done a few things, but I feel I can do more. I recently quitted my job with the idea of traveling in long term. I'll do that a bit, interchanging it with a time of studies. I wanna learn spanish and how to play a saxophone!
I’m really good at
Cooking the best meat with stout beer in South America! :D
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm interested on them, curious and questioner. Perceiver, got an eye who sees from an odd perspective.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It's so funny how my preferences have changed in the past few years. I used to be into non-fictional books, like God Delusion, The Drunkard Walk, Tipping Point - stuff related to understanding how things work around us, scientist's biographies like Einstein, Newton, Liebniz. My playlist would be entirely composed by classic rock and heavy metal.

Nowadays, I'm more into artsy, fictional, poetry and prose stuff. I've been introduced to Julio Cortázar and his book Rayuella, I also like Gabriel García Márquez, José Saramago, Machado de Assis, Fernando Pessoa and several others portuguese and spanish spoken writers. I'm willing to know those famous and classic english writers like Hemingway, George Orwell and so on.

You're gonna find me enjoying jazz, a lot of jazz! And those funky New Orleans stuff, very cheerful, motivating, dancing. All of these combined with brazilian music, those Bossa Nova and Tropicalia movements that took place in the 60s and 70s but last long in our brazilian culture. So I end up hearing a lot of Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethania, Tom Jobim, Vinícius de Morais, João Gilberto, Toquinho, Novos Baianos, Mutantes and so on. There's a lot of outstanding brazilian music!

I'm not into TV shows. When I watch TV, probably I'll be seeing all those scientific/historic/art channels, like Discovery, History, NatGeo.

Movies? I like to watch everything from the most poetic, introspective, melancholic to the silliest and dumbiest ones. On my list, you're gonna find pieces from Kubrick, David Lynch, James Cameron, Cameron Crowe (I watched Vanilla Sky like 8 times I guess!), Spielberg, Woody Allen, Lars von Trier etc. My favourite movies are Vanilla Sky (did I mention it before?), Eyes Wide Shut, Grand Torino (Clint Eastwood is awesome), American Psycho (I love the quotes - "Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it"), Napoleon Dynamite (this is one the funniest movies I've ever watched) and.. ok, it's getting too boring to fill this thing!
The six things I could never do without
Apart those things listed by Maslow in the bottom of his pyramid of needs (breathing, food, water, sex, sleep, homeostasis and excretion)?
- Music. Well, I think music is something I can't really live without. And the more I know about music, the more I get interested in
- Alcoholic beverages, and not just for dizzyness, but specially for the flavours and harmonization with food
- Freedom to travel
- A good time alone, just by myself
- A good time with a few close friends, or on the opposite way, with brand new ones
- Tiramissu!!! :D
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about me and others all the time... questions like:
What could I do to become a better and happier person? What's my next step?
What others could be thinking? What are their dreams? What are their concerns?
Is this real life?
On a typical Friday night I am
I hope I won't have any typical Fridays anymore!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If it wasn't the most private, I'd write it down here. But my psychologist told me that I should write it down on a paper and burn it away to somehow forget about it! That's a joke, ok? Haha
