I am: energetic, sassy, happy, petite, generous, silly, smart, busy, passionate, active, idealistic, fit.

You are: all of the above. Except petite, maybe. And also, strong, confident, humble and mischievious. Able to laugh at and be honest with yourself and me. And so am I.

We're kind of alike, you and I. We are really enjoying life, but realize it would be nice to share certain things with someone. That weekend getaway would be nice with a good book, but better with a partner and great chemisty. Also, we're both single, integruous, liberal, principled, omnivorous, and employed, doing work we like.

We like to surprise and do really great stuff for each other. Like this: "Sweetie, I know you were really looking forward to having dinner with my mom/boss/girlfriends, but I scored some amazing tickets to that band/game/show you've been talking about..."

We like to laugh, we're not afraid to debate something we're passionate about, and we're not afraid to call each other out when we screw up. We're also not afraid to say sorry. Or thank you.

We like to build and fix things. We've got a few power tools and know how to use them. We're honest. We're ready for that grown up relationship, where we don't take shots at each other in public (I can't believe how often I see this!) or create drama, we talk honestly and say what we need. We support and push each other to be our best, whether it's work, parenting, or snowboarding.

We're not in a hurry, but we're ready to find someone we can start to share and create moments with. We've learned a few valuable lessons while traveling around the block and the world. We're ready for a partner we can value, respect, tease, support, and crave.

This week? Fixing up my house. In general, I have a job I like, 2 boys who keep me on my toes 50% of the time, a sweet dog who likes slow walks, and a voracious appetite for life. I feed it with travel, building things, getting dirty, cooking and eating with people I dig, biking, climbing, hiking, and kayaking, and looking for new adventures. And laughing.

Figuring things out, making things work when they seem like they shouldn't. Scrappy creativity. Improvisation. Go ahead, tell me it can't be done.

There are so many favorites! Dickens to Dr. Seuss, G Love to Leonard Cohen, anything grilled, everything fresh, and...action movies. Guilty pleasure.

Recent Fridays have found me: cooking with friends, dancing my ass off, building a fire, Art Murmuring, and crashing on the couch with a movie and Thai takeout.
