What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My day job is business development and strategy for a tech company. On the side I help entrepreneurs launch businesses, which is both fun and rewarding. I'm also involved in several nonprofits and fundraisers in the city. I work hard and I'm passionate about both the "real job" as well as my other projects however I definitely make time for those who are important to me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making conversation
Bringing interesting people together
Creating order from chaos.
Finding the silver lining.
Enjoying life
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Two things energy level and my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Middlesex, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Klay, Love in the Time of Cholera, more things then I could possibly name (you'll have to check out my very old fashioned book shelves)
and reading the NYTimes and the Economist. I just finished book I've read in a long time.

Movies: my tastes are more Sundance than AMC -- foreign films, independents, well made documentaries (I just saw Dumbstruck) although I do like Harry Potter, action films with Robert Downey Jr and well made Hollywood hits: Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Being Jon Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Music: My tastes are pretty wide - classical, latin jazz, classic rock, most strong female vocalists plus Massive Attack, Sigur Ros, Calexico, Iron & Wine, Jose Gonzalez, etc.

Food: All of it (ok, no uni or mayonnaise but that should be pretty easy). I love to go to the farmers' markets and make up a meal with whatever's fresh. I have dinner parties as often as I can with my schedule. And I am a total junkie for new restaurants in the city.

TV: I am sans TV right now. I do check out The Good Wife and Daily Show on line and I'm absolutely addicted to Mad Men.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Close friends and family
Quality conversation
Good food and wine
A well used passport
Something to read
Beauty and the great outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Big things and little things.
How to make the world a better place.
Ensuring meritocracy for the next generation of Americans. Unlocking the gridlock in congress.
How to balance living large with working hard.
How to improve my running pace and how to train for NY this fall (1st marathon!)
What makes the perfect mix of people at a party.
How to accelerate the startups I work with.
What that's special thing that makes 2 people click
My next trip (it's time to head back to Europe...suggestions?)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out to dinner with friends, checking out a happening in the city, or en route to a weekend destination.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's not private if I admit it!
