My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have never hated someone as much as I hate Milo Minderbinder.

Joke time: How do you know if someone does Crossfit?

Don't worry; they'll tell you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently bought a canoe and I'm trying to get as much in as I can this season. I work at Habitat for Humanity, I'm barely ever at my desk, and it rarely feels like work. Hoping to learn enough to build my own home soon, but that's a different conversation. Even though I love work I tend to leave it at the office, and feel my life definitely exists 5-12 on weekdays.

Every Thursday is trivia night at a bar that was converted from an old barn, and I never miss it. Current winning record is 4 out of 5 weeks, so that free PBR keeps flowing. I read a ton, do a lot of crosswords, and play chess when I find someone that knows how. On the weekends I'm usually out at a farmer's market or making a day trip somewhere; I drive all over to find good spots to hike and towns with people walking dogs I can pet/contemplate petnapping . I'm trying to finish all the Catskill High Peaks. Constantly searching for the elusive perfect cup of coffee. Recently decided to base my tattoos off whether or not they make people laugh.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Calming people down.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have one of those voices that tend to boom whether or not I would like it to.

I think it might be better to start with what I really dislike in these: U2, people who think Palahniuk is the end-all, Big Bang Theory, Whatever Works (Jesus, I really disliked Woody Allen for a bit after that), prosletyzing vegans. Carry on.

Saunders, Camus, Klosterman, Wallace, Heller, Ellis, Sartre, Vonnegut.

High Fidelity, The Big Lebowski, Clerks, Goodfellas, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Children of Men.

Peep Show, BBC's Sherlock, The League, The Daily Show, Real Time, The Newsroom, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men

Lately: a lot of Talking Heads, The Ramones, and Future Islands.

Any and all meats preferably barbecued and/or in sausage form. Enough roast spinach, broccoli, and asparagus to feed a small village.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sticky notes, NPR, chilly weather, tasty beer, dogs, hiking boots
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Is building my own house is out of the question? Why is there dog hair all over my car? Why does every good coffee shop close too early?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out to dinner and having a beer or two. Saturday is a much better night to go out drinking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think having children is selfish.
