My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
People have said that I'm a wonderful listener, calm, and collected. I kinda think that sums me up nicely.

Analytical and reactionary in nature.

I love to play guitar. Oh, and I've started to like to sing but I don't share that with too many people. I'm still developing it. If I'm in my car by myself, I'm totally singing, though.

I love to listen to music. You'll see my rambling list further in my profile.

I also browse Reddit. Shit, it's a bit too good as a time sink, haha.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
UT grad still exploring what I genuinely enjoy doing professionally. Formerly worked as a paralegal and as an intern for a family court judge.

Currently, I'm employed with Whole Foods Market as a lead bookkeeper. I'm enjoying this bit of variety to my post-graduate life.

“If you want to be a grocer, or a general, or a politician, or a judge, you will invariably become it; that is your punishment. If you never know what you want to be, if you live what some might call the dynamic life but what I will call the artistic life, if each day you are unsure of who you are and what you know you will never become anything, and that is your reward.”
- Oscar Wilde
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Absorbing new information
- Adapting
- Teaching myself new skills (10 year old me was determined to teach myself to juggle

Oh, and I play a mean guitar and longboard like a fiend.

Music: I like a lot of post-rock, "indie"(silly label for music), experimental, electronica, electro pop, psych pop, dream pop, hip-hop, and some progressive metal at times. My tastes have morphed quite a bit over the recent years.

Recently I've been listening to The American Dollar, Mogwai, Kyte, Broken Bells, The Shins, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Circa Survive, Justice, Lydia, Moving Mountains, Radiohead, Ratatat... that's really all I care to list at the moment.

Let's add some more to the list: Pinback, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Passion Pit, Corelia, 65daysofstatic, People Under The Stairs, Daft Punk, The Flaming Lips, Kanye West, The Streets...

And let's add some more recent music that I've been enjoying: Maybeshewill, ...And So I Watch You From Afar, RJD2, Miike Snow, The xx, Empire of the Sun, Sigur Rós... blah blah blah blah

Some more music that I've been kickin' it to: Daft Punk, TesseracT, The Fall of Troy, Theophilus London, The Submarines, The Knife, Washed Out, Crystal Castles, Matt & Kim

The new Daft Punk album pleases my ears in the absolute best way.

So lately I've been on a classic rap kick so here's a new list I've been spinnin': Biggie Smalls, Nas, Eminem, Snoop Do... I mean Lion, and Wiz Kahlifa... for the moment.

I recently read the short story, "The Stranger" by Camus. A very wonderful read.

My name is Ryan and I watch Wilfred. The introspection in that show freaks me the FUCK out. In a good way.

As far as movies go, I'm just going to list one for now because it just popped into my head. And that movie is Network. If you're as mesmerized by that movie as I am, you should message me :)

I recently watched Bernie for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I always forget about Richard Linklater's brilliance. But I'm always happy to remember it, haha.

Current Favorite TV shows would include: Mad Men, The Walking Dead, 30 Rock, King of the Hill, It's Always Sunny, Breaking Bad...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-What other people are thinking about (Yeah seems futile, but I do it anyway)

-Where my future will take me (Which is more distressing and anxiety provoking than exciting, but I try to look at it in a good light)

-The hilarious and also saddening aspects of the human condition
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my close friends, going to a bar to play darts or shoot pool, enjoying a beer or two, playing guitar, longboarding, enjoying a video game, browsing Reddit absorbing everything from current events to hilarious internet nonsense, enjoying a comedic television show (Archer, 30 Rock, The Office, South Park, Futurama perhaps?)

Any combination of what's stated above.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you're open minded and enjoy healthy intellectual discourse.

If you're a fellow longboarder!

If you're a frustrated introvert, or just one that knows what it's like to be stuck inside your own head.

If you would like to take part in adventurous shenanigans.

If you love listening to music and seeking out new music that touches on all ranges of human emotion and conveys ideas and themes on the human condition in unique ways.

Oh and I guess message me if you find me interesting, I suppose that's pretty important too.

Don't be shy! I like conversation!
