Books: I love books. Sadly recently reading
academic stuff dominated everything but after I finally handed in
my bachelorthesis a few weeks ago I started reading fiction
again.
I like everything by Juli Zeh and Siri Hustvedt as well as bits and
pieces by T.C.Boyle and Haruki Murakami. Stephen King is also on
the list. I relentlessly failed with reading Paul Auster but I'd
like to give Jonathan Franzen another try.
The greatest book I read during the past 12 months was "Die
Entdeckung der Liebe" bei Judith Katzir.

Movies: Some of my alltime-favorites are: Le
fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Fight Club, Philadelphia and the
german movies Sommer vorm Balkon and Was nützt die Liebe in
Gedanken? I also like old Disney classics, especially
Aristocats.
Lately I also watched some sci-fi movies and I must admit that I
enjoyed Alien 1&2 quite a lot. Zombies flicks are also great
and I like movies by Quentin Tarantino and David Fincher.
Shows: Six Feet under was great. I also enjoyed
the first two seasons of Game of Thrones and I am looking forward
to the new season. At the moment I am switching between The Wire
and Gilmore Girls (what a contrast!). I enjoy The Big Bang Theory
from time to time and Grey's Anatomy is my guilty pleasure. On my
To-Watch-List are Dexter, Heroes, Flight Of The Conchords, Breaking
Bad, True Blood, The IT Crowd and Mad Men and I want to continue
with House M.D. If you have any further suggestions - let me
know!
Music: I have a broad taste in music and used to
have the stereo playing all day long but recently it got
better.
I'm much into Indiepop and Indietronic and consider Ben Gibbard to
be a genius. I also like singer-songwriter-stuff ("Passenger" is
new and on top of the list, close to Ben Howard). I'm a sucker for
german music - Bosse, Tomte and most of all Kettcar. Sometimes I
fall for Amy MacDonald-songs.
I have an account on last.fm - so just ask, if you want to know
more.
Food: I don't like meat but I love cooking. I eat
a lot of vegetables and consider cheese to be awesome. I'm thinking
about vegan food a lot but due to my love for cheese I don't think
I could ever become a 'complete' vegan.
