An English major, self-taught guitarist, artfully clumsy and sometimes just confused, girl. Oh, and my name is Penny...hence the shout out to save your pennies before the Mint decides to stop making them. I like to think I have my funny moments, often times I don't know which way to go if someone tries to give me a kiss on the cheek (this makes me oddly uncomfortable), and I spend 5 minutes every day before I leave the house using a lint brush on my clothes because I can't stop cuddling with my dogs. I'd definitely consider myself old-fashioned, but I prefer a gin and tonic. I make dumb jokes sometimes. I love the smell of fresh dryer sheets, chai tea, and sawdust. I'm also a big fan of the lighting in subway stations. Not a fan of ketchup, licorice, spiders (or any bugs), airbrushed ads, the temperature in grocery stores, and wet feet.
Love making people laugh, and laughing in general. You're quirky, but not serial killer quirky. You are tall, and preferably have hair. You think llamas are hilarious, but also very rude, animals. You don't mind weekend movie binges, but you love the outdoors and it makes you feel at peace. You don't have to be at the gym every day, but you stay in shape. All in all, you are the most interesting man in the world.
Location-wise, I have lived on the Eastern Shore, Charleston, most recently Boston, and just moved back to my hometown of DC a couple of months ago.
When I was younger, I did quite a bit of international volunteering (Uganda, Peru, Barbados, India), and I think everyone should travel as much as they can to get a better sense of yourself and the world around you. Right now, I'm focused on settling down into one place, and developing my art. I'd love to meet some interesting people on here and get together for drinks!
