i am new at this and hate talking about myself in this context, but, that's kind of the point so here it goes... i just started nannying after teaching preschool for 10 years. (i am a teacher who hates our education system) so, i am working on opening my own early childhood program that supports kids as people and meaningful contributors to our society. i should probably go back to school myself but it feels a little scary at this point.
i enjoy being outdoors and having good conversations. my friends would say i am open, honest, and free spirited. i love to travel and try to get away from seattle at least once a month. Sometimes it's a big trip (i just got back from iceland) and sometimes it's a weekend getaway to the mountains or the ocean.
this life for me is about connecting with people and learning about life from experiences good, bad, and everything in between.
i have been with my boyfriend sayrefc for 5 years. together we are exploring the world of polyamory. we are happy and committed to each other, but that doesn't restrict us from being being happy and connected to other people as well.
i am a vegetarian, humanitarian, the best parallel parker in town, can play euchre pretty well, and always appreciate the sight of mt. rainier. i believe that success in life has nothing to do with the typical "american dream" and find myself very happy as a poor teacher.
to thine own self be true (i recently learned that this quote is written on the back of sobriety coins... this is not why i like it)
