I am smart, humble, and loving.
My Self-Summary
I'm in the US
Navy as
an Arabic linguist stationed at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. I care
about
saving
money so that I don't have to keep working when I'm 80 years
old and also paying off my mortgage. I'm originally from north
Florida. I went to boot camp in Great Lakes, IL and then went to
Monterey, CA for about 2 years to learn Arabic. Now I'm stationed
in Augusta, GA for the next 3 years. I bought a house since I'll be
here for a while. It was as cheap or cheaper than renting anyway,
so it doesn't really make sense not to buy one here.
I'm an Atheist and have been since around 18 years old. My mother
and father are really religious. My dad was is a chaplain/preacher
and I was raised going to church every Sunday. I think I could have
a relationship with someone who believed that there was a god, but
not anyone who lives their life based on what they think their god
wants them to do.
I'm looking for a girl who is really accepting and loving, one who
likes to cuddle and kiss. I'd like a smart girl. You don't have to
be a genius, but someone who I can talk to about things and who I
can really get close to.
Now in Arabic
انا رجل ذكي و اريد بنت يلي بتحبني و لها طموحات شخصية. الذكاء شي مهم
بنسبة لي. انا مش عربي اصلا, لكن اعتقد بان البنات العربيات جميلة
كتيرة.
What I’m doing with my life
Waiting until my contract with the Navy is up. Only 3 more years...
woo hoo! Then I plan to get a job as a contractor doing the exact
same thing I'm doing now but getting paid double. Life is so
fair...
I started learning French recently, but we'll see how long I stick
to it.
I’m really good at
I'm good at learning languages and anything that involves thinking,
excluding math. While I'm decent at it, it's not something I'm
really above average at.
I'm also good at video games, but I'm not sure that scores me too
many points on a dating site =D.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well my neutral walk-around face looks like I'm going to kill
anyone who talks to me, or so I'm told. People say that I look
intelligent, but I don't know how you can tell that from just
looking at someone.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: The Prestige, Equilibrium, Boiler Room, I Robot, First
Contact, The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix (1st movie), Star
Wars
Books: The God Delusion, The End of Faith, 1984, Brave New World,
The Third Chimpanzee
TV: South Park, Family Guy, Penn and Teller: Bullshit!, Lost,
House, 24
The six things I could never do without
-The internet
-Movies
-Oxygen
-Water
-Food
-Shelter
It's hard for me to list 6 things I can't do without. I can pretty
much do without a lot of things, hence me not spending a lot of my
salary. I don't have to have all the cool new gadgets that come
out. They're nice, but I'm always looking to the future. If I spend
$500 on a new toy now, that's money I'm not going to be gaining
interest on.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. I saw a TED presentation
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo4HiVetBd0) about how some people
live in the past, some the present, and some the future. My mind
definitely focuses on the future. I'm not the type of person who is
going to get into huge amounts of debt and who doesn't have a plan
for retirement. People say that you should live in the moment, but
the people who do that end up at 50 with zero money in the bank and
paying child support to 2 former wives. I probably sound like an
old man right now, but these are the things I think about. =D
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing nothing special. I'm not really a party type of guy.
