My self-summary
First off, I should tell you that I love pandas. I just want to put that out there so that nobody underestimates the fact that PANDASOMG.

My favourite thing in the world to do is dance around my bedroom naked, to music that's a few notches louder than I could get away with if anybody else was home, singing my heart out.

I don't believe in monogamy as a universal. That doesn't mean I think cheating is ok, it means that honesty and communication are important, and that monogamous relationships aren't necessarily the ideal we should all be striving towards.

I have an annoying tendency to talk too much when I meet people to try and compensate for the fact that inside I am freaking the fuck out.

My favourite part of my body is my back. I get a strange kind of pleasure from making my eyebrows look good, and I like making silly scrunchy faces in photos.

megaderp, who is wonderful, says:
"One of your similar users is listed as being "less moral". I didn't even know that was possible. You immoral, sinful little hussy".

He's pretty much right.
What I’m doing with my life
A lot of knitting and a lot of procrastinating.

I am currently living with my dad in a state of (hopefully not prolonged!) unemployment and being penniless.

I'm hoping this new start will help give my life the kick up the arse it needs.
I’m really good at
From the mouths of my admirers:

"Cutting sarcasm, warm conversation, and lethally accurate popcorn ballistics".
- mroblivion

"taking other peoples tangled words and turning them into literary genius".
- ScaryM

I've also recently learned that I do a killer Yorkshire accent, despite my natural one being Generically Southern.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually it's the height. It tends to go something like this:

"Wow, you're tall, aren't you?!"
"Really? I'd never noticed! Thanks for telling me!"

If it's somebody who knows her, I also get "Oooh, don't you look like your mum?!"

The answer to that is yes, yes I do. If she was 33 years younger and 4 inches taller.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Persuasion by Jane Austen, Watership Down, Once in a House on Fire by Andrea Ashworth, Room by Emma Donoghue, The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Anything by Stephen King (except, y'know, his awful stuff), especially The Stand, Full Dark, No Stars, It and The Shining. Recently I've totally fallen in love with Japanese literature - specifically Haruki Murakami. My guilty pleasures are crime/thriller novels and chick-lit a la Jodi Picoult.

I also have a bit of a thing for poetry. I have The Tyger by William Blake tattooed on my back. I also love Sylvia Plath, Wordsworth, T.S. Eliot, Philip Larkin and a whole bunch of others.

Movies: The Rocky Horror Picture Show, High Fidelity, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, District 9, Despicable Me, The Lost Boys, Up, Donnie Darko, Como Agua Para Chocolate, Chocolat, Todo Sobre Mi Madre (and anything by Pedro Almodóvar). Good Stephen King adaptations (don't even talk to me about The Shining, seriously...) - my favourite movie ever is Stand By Me, closely followed by The Green Mile.

TV: CSI: Vegas, Supernatural, Bones, Criminal Minds, Californication, The Mentalist, Dexter, Being Human, The Big Bang Theory, Pushing Daisies (if you even know what I'm talking about I will love you forever - that show is AWESOME), anything which involves David Attenborough (because he is godly).

Music: Led Zeppelin, Mumford & Sons, Alice in Chains, Kula Shaker, Athlete, Snow Patrol, David Bowie, Blondie, Paolo Nutini, Kings of Leon, Kasabian, The Arcade Fire, Biffy Clyro, Feeder, Bob Dylan, Brand New, Stereophonics, Lady Gaga, Rilo Kiley, Regina Spektor, The Temper Trap, Leonard Cohen, The XX, Jimi Hendrix, The Drums.

Food: Marshmallows, peaches, Ben & Jerry's Baked Alaska, Cadbury's Twirls, ice cream floats, GBK. Everything I ever cook. I'm a shit-hot cook.
The six things I could never do without
- Literature. I have a Kindle purely because the size of my book mountain was becoming rather ridiculous, particularly when I don't have any bookshelves.
- Yarn. I probably buy about ten times as much yarn as a person who knits at my speed could ever use. But I tend to trowl Etsy for hand-dyed yarn and go, "OH GOD A PAIR OF SOCKS IN THAT WOULD BE SO GORGEOUS".
- Mascara and eyebrow powder. Because I have a bad habit of plucking out my eyebrows when I'm stressed and I like to look alive on occasion.
- Nicotine. I will refrain from smoking around you if you ask nicely, but nobody in their right mind asks me to quit.
- Breakfast foods. Well, specifically Cheerios and lime marmalade (not TOGETHER, obviously), but that would have made this two things. MUAHAHAHA.
- Bear. Ask and I will tell.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The depressing fact that my height, of which I am only recently beginning to be appreciative, makes the ocean of potential matches dry up into a small, slightly stagnant pond. This is partially due to my own picky nature, but also I am becoming increasingly aware that my most distinguishing feature is not that attractive to the males of our species.

My theory is that it makes me ever so slightly intimidating.

Feel free to prove me wrong.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either babysitting my younger sister, or half-watching whatever my dad's got on tv while I play games. Occasionally I'll get on a train to London. I don't have a social life because I know nobody round here. Boohoo.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm afraid of the dark. Actually, that's not quite true. I'm afraid of the things in the dark. If I'm ever alone in the house at night I freak out a ridiculous amount.

I have far more stuffed toys than any self-respecting 24 year old should really own.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 24–40
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
If you have a penchant for pandas. I like pandas. Also llamas.

If you know all the words to The Llama Song, or you can do the Panda Dance.

If you have an irrational hatred of Jorja Fox, and of Laurence Fishburne as a CSI.

If you are good at killing/relocating spiders. They are the work of the devil.

If you want to buy me yarn. I love yarn. YARRRRRRRRRN. Alternatively, if you wish to add to my "Franki wants a massive back tattoo" fund.

If you know the difference between 'your' and 'you're', ditto
their/there/they're.
