My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Not that I really buy into astrological signs, but I am definitely a Libra, seeking balance in all things. I like a night out at a bar with friends as much as I like a night in on the couch with Netflix. I'm an engineer by trade, but desperately want to be in a position that requires more human interaction and creative thinking.

I work out on a regular basis, but I am also an unapologetic food snob and I love to eat. I don't think I used to be (a snob), but since I met my wife I've gotten to the point where I'm just this side of Anthony Bourdain in terms of turning my nose up at 'pedestrian' foods.

My wife londonchic* and I are polyamorous. If you don't know what that means, feel free to ask me. I'm looking for a meaningful connection, not a hookup or a fling. I want someone that I can have long, satisfying conversations with, someone who can be a friend and activity partner, and let any physical chemistry flow naturally from there.

Also, we pursue individual relationships, so we're not looking for a third (a 'unicorn' or an 'hbb' or however you want to call it).

* Since my wife only looking for bi girls, so you may not be able to view her profile if you're not listed as bi.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My schedule is pretty well split between working full time and attending graduate school, working towards getting my MBA. I'm an engineer by trade, but I've found the really interesting problems lie outside of the development environment.

We also are on the hunt for our first house. We've been looking long enough that the process has lost most of its luster, but I look forward to the day when I can actually do my own home improvement projects, and not just watch how-to videos about them on youtube. I *may* be romanticizing home projects a little much, but has a certain siren song for me...

I used to be pretty into triathlons, but now I'm at the point where remembering that I *used* to be able to run a 10k just bums me out. I still try to keep fit, and it helps to have a physical goal, like the Tough Mudder that I did in July. It keeps me focused, since vanity sure as hell isn't a motivating enough factor to keep me going to the gym or hitting the trail!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I make a pretty mean pizza dough. And I can interject random quotes from a variety of cartoons and movies into everyday life! Who doesn't want that?

Also, it's kind of a running joke among my friends that if any of them get stuck in a video game, I'm the one to pass the controller to.

I really need some sort of practical skill, in case/when the zombie apocalypse happens.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm tall. I should probably ask people what the *second* thing that they notice about me is...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
The Incredibles, Pitch Perfect, Serenity, Tombstone, 28 Days Later, The Dark Knight, The Avengers, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. I do have a weakness for buddy action/comedies, revenge flicks, and shallow acapella musicals. Also pretty much anything by Joss Whedon, Brad Bird, or Chris Nolan. Those guys could write/direct everything from here to eternity as far as I'm concerned!

TV Shows
Archer, Sherlock, 30 Rock, Friends, Firefly, Parks and Recreation, The Mindy Projct, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, Homeland, The Walking Dead, The West Wing, Newsroom, and anything else written/created by Aaron Sorkin. Pretty much whatever's available on Netflix or Hulu, since we've forsaken cable until we can get HBO *without* having to give any more money to Comcast. I used to watch a lot more TV, but grad school's fixed that!

I will go hog-wild on pizza, as well as Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, or Italian food. There's this amazing place right near my apartment that serves Indian pizza that is to die for! And I will fight a man if there's some decent buffalo chicken involved.

I think I have a pretty eclectic taste. I have the following stations on Pandora: Trance (BT, Tiesto, Oakenfold); 90's R&B (Blackstreet, En Vogue, Tupac); Chick Rock (P!NK, TLC, Kelly Clarkson); Trip Hop (Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Moby); Dubstep (edIT, deadmaus)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Water - At the risk of sounding glib, I drink water like it's going out of style.
Human contact - I used to think of myself as an introvert. As I've gotten older, I've realized how rewarding being around other people can be!
Sunlight - I could never be truly a night owl. Nor could I live in the Pacific northwest. I needs me some sun!
A Nearby Beach - I grew up half a mile from the beach, and it's killing me that it's more like half an hour from the beach where I'm living now. I love the ocean, I love the sand, but I don't love the inevitable tourists that it attracts.
Proper Seasonings - Even if it's just (kosher) salt and fresh ground balck pepper. I can't stand bland food!
Exercise - When I was younger I was ok with just being a bump on a log. Now I hate that feeling of lethargy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Relationships. Love. Lust. Polyamory. Sex. Needs vs Wants. Desire. Communication. Friendship. Connections. Intimacy. Expectations.

And somewhere in there is a little section cordoned off for my graduate classes! Management and group dynamics, the psychology behind marketing, leadership theory.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm just as happy staying in, ordering a pizza and popping in a movie as I am going out to a schmancy restaurant or having a few friends over. Also, I'm not exactly into the club scene, but definitely I love going out to nice chill bars and having a few drinks. And if you're really into it, I can probably be convinced to go out dancing. (Let's be honest, it wouldn't be hard!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Katy Perry's Teenage Dream is my *JAM*! I don't know why, but it just really resonates with me. You just might catch me belting it out in my car.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You're polyamorous yourself, or are open to the idea of dating someone who is. (Making this one a priority since I've already had my heart broken once)
- You love the idea of smashing the patriarchy and messaging a guy first!
- You've got a favorite local bar or restaurant that you would love to share.
- You're interested in a climbing partner and are willing to teach a rookie!
- There's at least one movie or TV show that you can quote word for word (or close to it).
- You can say something more interesting than "hi," "what's up," or "interesting profile" in your opening message.
- Not a necessity, but it would be super cool if you like the idea of a trail run for a date!
