I'm stuck in Sheffield all week, Death Cab are playing in Sheffield
tonight. Dammit.

I've spent this evening plugging a whole range of 90's musical gaps
on my I-pod...the kind of songs I used to own on tape that never
got bought on CD. It's been a fun trip down memory lane.

The Daily effing Mail believing it is upholding the morals of the nation,
Good colleagues leaving work for far off climes,
The sudden coldness of the weather,
People who won't be honest with me.

Some fillum endings are totally euphoric, like I could literally
dance on air out of the cinema after them (Trainspotting and 24
hour party people spring to mind).
I love it when you find a new band and their lyrics seem to perfectly encapsulate that moment of your life (at the moment, The National - Mistaken by Strangers)

A totally random thought - brought to you by a mild allergic
reaction to cheap champagne is .... friends with benefits? Not a
personal enquiry but throwing it out there for discussion by the
masses. Does it work? Have you had any horrible mishaps? Spill your
