Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Obese tuba-loving geek
(to clarify: I am obese, tubas are just big-boned)
Adore a good argument, have no shame in sharing enthusiasm with others, and have a tendency to sing very loudly at almost any moment. Pretty annoying for most people, but my macaw likes it, so I don't bother trying to change.
For those of you that don't take the "looking for" section seriously: It says I am looking for friends because I am. For reals, I'm just trying to expand my tiny circle with interesting people. Maybe there's a better website, but I've been using this one on an off since it was just a quiz repository.

I've got a very mild case of Tourette Syndrome, my favorite tic is HULK SMASH! Tables beware.

Love my dog and my bird, and just about every fluffy critter I've ever met.

A big fan of learning, skepticism, solitude, any snuggly animal, sci-fi, and general geekery
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I'm not working, sleeping, or at rehearsal, I am either trying to make my house habitable or learning to program - so far it's very frustrating and therefore quite fun.

Stage manage for local school productions

Avid podcast listener. Recommend me some! Currently have 100 podcasts, and a backlog of 363 episodes. I. Love. Podcasts.

Play tuba every chance I get, noodle around at learning piano, because why not?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
* remembering the melody, but not the lyrics
* quoting movies, TV, and Mitch Hedberg
* spouting trivia
* laughing too loudly
* empathy
* demonstrating "too much" forcefulness of opinion. Do please dissent, lively debates are good. The worst thing you can do is smile and nod when you think I'm wrong... When I find out that I am wrong, I will interpret it as you thinking I am not worth the effort of helping.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Excellent posture.

Chances are if I meet your eyes, I smile. I think it might be a tic at this point, because it's the same smile no matter what I'm thinking or feeling.

If I don't "get it" and can't Google to find "it" out, I will ask.

The Wheel of Time-- it is flawed and beautiful, and I re-listen to it every year.
Star Trek -- in the middle of watching the whole series in story chronological order. Thanks to Netflix for including the animated series in your offering!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 'nough said.
Battlestar Galactica minus the last two episodes
Camille Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3 -- If you have seen Babe, the finale is the theme music for the film. I heard it live at Boston Symphony Hall, and I could have died happy.
Ol' Man River as sung by Paul Robeson

All ensemble pieces with good tuba parts. ALL

Food is delicious so long as it doesn't contain coconut
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

a non-human animal that loves me
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. Why there is so much to learn and I waste so much of the time NOT learning.

How to finish my degree.

How come I can't sing bass, alas.

Ways to possibly make friends, why it is I lost so many

Watching Star Trek. Currently on TNG season 6/DS9 season 1.
And also rewatching New Who. I think 9 is still my favorite.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am very afraid of serving as a page turner for pianists, despite knowing how to read music and turn pages.

I go out of my way to avoid taking left turns.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I dunno... Enjoy a good conversation?

You should not message me with one brief sentence. If you do, I will either ignore you with disdain, send an insulting message about laziness, or if you're really really lucky, I'll give you a lesson on how to get someone interested in communicating in two to five sentences.
