My self-summary
I'm a Canadian-American from South Florida. I moved up north for college and law school and have been living in New York since I started working. I'm into coffee, chess, whisky, and occasionally like seeing performances of modern dance, Yiddish theater (mostly because it exists but also because some of the acting is quite good), and stand-up comedy.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a commercial litigator.
I’m really good at
finding good gifts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a blonde spot in the back of my head (I was born with it). My father says he was too, but he's been bald for more than 40 years, so I'm still waiting for a witness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love 50s and 60s pop and soul and some of the neo-soul music that's starting to come back. My favorite movie is It's A Wonderful Life, which I watch every Christmas.
The six things I could never do without
I can probably live without these things, but for the sake of not quarrelling with the premise of the question, I'll go with: (1) coffee, (2) the Internet, (3) comedy, (4) interesting conversation, (5) the Indian takeout place on MacDougal street, and (6) bacon.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Charles Hamilton Houston's saying.
On a typical Friday night I am
having dinner with friends or playing chess.
