mainly non-fiction these days. rock-n-roll bios and politically
progressive non-fiction stuff. cosmology always scratches that itch
for me, too. if you're an avid library user, iLike you
christopher guest, david lynch, stan kubrick, quentin tarantino,
woody allen and the coen bros have made many of my favorite films.
i also reeeeeeeeeeeealy love star wars (originals) dr. strangelove
has me for life, so does harold and maude. i saw drive 4 times in
arrested development, archer, breaking bad, twin peaks, modern
family. hbo and showtime original series(es?) like the wire, girls,
enlightened, dexter, shameless, etc. my hands down favorite is
certainly six feet under. game of thrones rocks too.
ween, pixies, velvet underground, rolling stones, BOWIE, the band,
phish, john prine, talking heads, QOTSA, scissor sisters,
lovage/dan the automator, B52s, zappa, die antwoord, the clash, the
cure, kool keith/dr. octagon, modest mouse, the heavy, muse, dessa,
boombox, morphine, jon spencer blues explosion, led zeppelin,
grateful dead, CCR, balkan beat box, the white stripes/anything
jack white has ever touched, bluegrass of all sorts, funk
i often receive messages asking what shows i've seen recently....
this year (2013) has been a good one for me and live music. here
are some notable highlights/favorites that are just the tip of the
iceberg: sigur ros, david byrne, muse, sir paul mccartney (FOUR
HOURS WORTH), skrillex, boys noize, father john misty, bob dylan,
bjork, billy idol, macklemore et al.
foooood... i love it all. popcorn is the best snack. i strongly
prefer food that i've grown. RED WINE. herbs and SPICES! aromatic
eats turn my crank. bonus points for heat. BARBEQUE (smoked meats)
CHILES. WHISKEY. CLUB SAMMICHES.
