I'm pretty laid back and easy going, but I am still a woman :) Definitely not the high maintenance, take 4 hours to get ready kind of girl, but I do like to look good when I go out.

I must admit, I'm kind of a science geek...don't be afraid...I don't carry out wacky home experiments...unless its for my students :).

I'd like to meet someone that enjoys intelligent conversation, even if we don't agree. I think you learn the most from people that have differing opinions, as long as you have an open mind.

I love to laugh, and I don't hold back when I find something really funny...its definitely contagious.

What I’m doing with my life

I studied biology undergrad and worked at Cold Spring Harbor Labs for 3 years researching ovarian and pancreatic cancer. It was a great job, but with no room for advancement.
So, I went back to get my masters in education. I'm starting my second year teaching science in a high needs district. Each day is so different and working with kids is so rewarding. No matter how crazy or tiring a day may be, I wake up again the next morning excited to teach and learn.

Food: Love trying new things (eating and creating) though I don't eat seafood.

music: My collection has a wide range of genres and decades...with the exception of hardcore rap and rock(the screaming kind). I'm not a big on choosing favorites of anything, but I'd say The Beatles is my all time favorite band.
