My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just (10/2013) moved to the area from St. Louis, MO and don't know anyone except the people I work with.

I'm a reclusive geek/nerd (I accept either title and wear them proudly). I'm passionate about music, motorsports, technology, and science. I'm really not big on crowds and large groups but small gatherings and individuals for company are almost always appreciate. I really don't take life that seriously. My only child is of the small furry feline type. She's quite demanding but very cute.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just started a new job for a system integrator in Aurora, OH. Spend most of my free time learning useless (to most people) information about music, motorsports, science, sci-fi, etc.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Professionally: Designing automation control panels.
Non-work related: I'm a decent cook and fairly handy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my beard, and the shaved head.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series, the Halo series (actually has a great sci-fi/military fiction story that doesn't seem to really come through in the games.), Trainspotting, The Hobbit, Dune, anything by Jules Verne, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Neal Stephenson or Isaac Asimov, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, American Gods. Animal Farm, 1984.........It just keeps going on. I am one of those people who does most of my reading by audio books while I am working.

Movies; Willy Wonka, Akira, Arsnic and Old Lace, Four Weddings and a Funeral (wonderful British comedy if you can get past the fact it's a Hugh Grant romantic comedy.), Time Bandits, Ghost In The Shell, Mel Brooks movies, Allister Mclean movies, 1941, Amelie, Departures.

TV: Motorsports, Jeeves and Wooster, Blackadder, Allo Allo, Are You Being Served/Grace & Favour, Black Books, Invader Zim, Sherlock, BBC4 science documentaries, Venture Brothers, Wallace & Grommit (Not sure if this should be TV or Movies)

Anime: Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, Darker Than Black, Evangelion, Hellsing, Shin Chan (american version), Trigun

Music: Pretty much what I grew up (for the most part) on. Progressive Rock, straight ahead classic rock, Metal, and Classical. I have been getting into indie music lately as well. Artists: Dream Theater, King Crimson, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Tool, Them Crooked Vultures, Motorhead, Yoko Kanno, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, N.E.R.D., Beethoven, Dvorak, Stravinsky, Modest Mouse, Scale the Summit, Flaming Lips, Type O Negative, Hendrix (especially the Electric Ladyland album)

Food: I'll try anything once, but favorites are Indian, Thai, Sushi, Lebonese, and the food I cook.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Slinky (my cat)
2. Computer
3. Smartphone (as much as I hate to admit it)
4. Books (Audio or Print)
5. Music
6. Glasses (I tend to trip over afformention cat if I don't have them and I don't like contacts)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A short list:
What the next modification to one of my guitars will be.
Do I really feel like cooking tonight and if not does tortilla chips with shredded cheese on top count as a meal?
Where is the cat and what is she doing?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Happy Hour with work coleauges. Watching Netflix while reading or playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate crowds, I'd much rather be alone than surrounded by people I have no interest in talking with.
