I'm a big geek at heart. I enjoy sci-fi movies, comic book movies, actual comic books for that matter, Star Wars, anything Star Wars. I have 23 Star Wars shirts in my closet. Yes, I'm 41 and there comes a point where you like what you like and you don't care what the rest of the world thinks. I've seen The Avengers twice. I can quote every line from every dirty Harry and Monty Pyrhon movie. People don't enjoy playing Trivial Pursuit with me because my brain is full of useless knowledge.
I adore music, I just saw Van Halen in Oakland on Sunday and they brought the house down. I have over 10,000 songs in my IPod.
I've recently purchased a fairly decent camera and really enjoy taking pictures.
Folsom is home and I don't regret for a single second that I have to take the light rail to and from work for an hour each way because....I live in Folsom. I also have a really good job that I'd be a fool to ever walk away from.
I also live close to my entire family and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I'm so lucky to live 90 minutes from two of my favorite places on earth, Tahoe and San Francisco.
I recently as of last year took up running and finished my first 10k last year in Santa Cruz. I plan on another 10k in JUly and then my first Half Marathon in October.
I've been habitually single for awhile now. I've had a couple of first dates over the last few months but sparks didn't fly for some reason or another and I have slowly kind of given up in perusing a relationship anymore because I get tired of playing the game. I want to meet the right person I truly do but there always seems to be some strange baggage or a "gotcha" moment that scares me away.
I'm relatively simple and traditional in my approach to women. I don't play games, if I like you you're gonna know it and I would hope to get the same in return. I'm a firm believer in PDA and am a teddy bear when it comes to hugs, cuddles and kisses. I don't really do the bar scene and I hate to dance so if you feel the need to boogie then I gladly invite you to have a girls night with your friends :)
I'm slowly learning to cook more on my own. I make a mean chicken taco and chicken parm now and I love to BBQ. I'm a little picky about what I eat ( not Inge health nut way more like a 5 year old kid way) so getting me to try new things may prove difficult when it comes to food. Lol.
I'm an owner of two precious furbaby dogs, Meathead and Bingbong. These boys are my life and I would hope anyone I meet likes dogs. That's a deal breaker.
I want to travel and do things for a change. I'm tired of my weekends revolving around what I'm going to do with the dogs. It gets old when you have to go to movies and concerts by yourself. I want someone to share those experiences with and to build new ones together.
I don't know if I've said enough, the right stuff or too much. I'll add more as it comes to me.
All I can say is let's see what happens!
