pretentious, discerning, and judgmental
My self-summary Propose an edit
Holy crap I graduated! I know everyone's envious of my degree in
German Studies and Biology, and that's somehow fitting with working
on 4th Ave :) I think learning pretty much rules, and I'm
certainly considering grad school(or I might start over again to
become a teacher in Germany). Right now, I'm in a certification
program to teach English as a second or foreign language. Maybe
I'll be teaching English in Greece or Spain in a year!
I'm from a small German speaking sub-community in southern
Arizona that no one else in that town seems to know exists, and I
have strong ties to both countries. Science and politics are very important to me, and
I feel that 'not believing' in them or caring enough to be educated
about either is a shameful personal flaw.
I've, rightly, been called a nerd, geek and weird. xkcd is my favorite webcomic though I
used to be really into Megatokyo. I love Tucson and can be found
downtown or on 4th Ave. regularly. I like dancing, blues dance, am politically active and
love foreign movies. Playing board games with my friends is one of
my favorite things to do(Arkham Horror is the current favorite).
Did I mention that I love playing Devil's advocate?
Also, my roommate Jim has put some lovely edits to my profile.
Maybe they'll explain more than anything I say :P
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Trying to figure that out, actually. In the mean time, I try to
coordinate and join in get-togethers of my friends, be it karaoke,
Stitch and Bitch, parties or zombie walks.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Listening, laughing like Naga, napping, judging people too harshly,
and hunting the undead. Taking about literature! If you like the
German
Romantic period, we'd get along

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
Either that I'm incredibly quiet or that I'm very weird and
outgoing. That depends on how reserved the person I meet
seems
Jim's edit: Usually they notice my perky smile, perky attitude, and
perky breasts. Once their eyes move up to mine however, they see
the twitch and maniacal gleam. Usually at this point a subtle level
of fear enters their hearts, encouraging them to take a more
detailed look at me. This is when they discover the blood stains.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I had a political leaning but came to question its value and now
feel lost because it seems like I'll never find one that seems
'good' but is also 'accomplishable'.
Also, I don't really like Italian food
Jim's edit: My lube of choice is a 1:1 mixture of blood and tears.

You should message me if Propose an edit
You feel so inclined!
Here's a list of things that make me more likely to respond to
you:
1) Correct spelling of your/you're, their/they're/there and so
on
2) Capitalization
3) Being a hardcore atheist
4) Having something interesting to say
Remember, odds are you're hoping to make a good impression! Act
accordingly
However, you'll be rather rudely ignored if you're:
a) A Republican Bush groupie who doesn't care about the
environment
b) A creationist or reject the theory of Evolution. I've argued the
case of science, but I don't care to debate anymore with people who
don't understand the concept of falsifiability
--on this note, if you truly feel the need to message me despite
this, please read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.
Reading that will explain where I stand on these things--
c) Looking for just sex. Seriously. Learn to read, I'm not looking
for a sex partner. GO AWAY
d) A carrier of Ebola who wants to meet me
