I just had someone to contact me, with a very brief message, telling me how intriguing my profiles was, and to write back if I felt a connection. As usual, I checked her profile. Strangely, it was only about seven sentences in total. In those sentences, she claimed to be an Extrovert and very outgoing. To me, it stands to reason that if a person is very outgoing, they would write much longer profiles, because they like to 'put it all out there'...
I am quite an Introvert. In stark contrast to her profile, my own is like a book. It details what I want, what I don't want, and shares observations and details about who I am and why. For an Introvert, it's quite a personal statement to 'put it all out there'. I have trouble addressing groups of people, because it's uncomfortable. I wonder if the anonymity involved in a profile insulates me from that feeling, and allows me the comfort to become a literary Extrovert.
So, my question is, has anyone observed whether Introverts or Extroverts create longer, more detailed profiles? It would be interesting to hear what everyone has to say about this. Thanks for your attention!!
I thoroughly enjoyed a responsibility free and dry Summer Solstice at the Greensboro Arboretum Sunday. I loved being the Solstice pirate!
Many thanks to those who posed with me for pictures! I look forward to seeing all of you again!
