I like exercising, hitting the gym, & swimming (both for exercise & for fun). Try to work out 3-5 days a week if I can. I spent 2014 dieting & exercising pretty hard & lost over 90 pounds. I got off track a bit in 2015 & gained a bit back but I am back at it, taking it a little easier so I don't get burned out, & hope to hit my goal by next summer.
I love music of all kinds. love movies, & doing funny quotes from movies.I have a great sense of humor. I like all types of humor too. sarcasm, dry wit, & obvious humor are some of my fav's.
I like bon fires in the spring, summer, & fall. like to swim, & have thought about taking up kayaking. growing up by the cuyahoga river, I used to like to go for walks along it. Absolutley love thunder storms. I could sit out on a porch & watch the rain & lightning during a thunder storm for hours.
I really want to do some traveling in the near future. never really been anywhere & I aint gettin any younger. Would like to see the pacific north west, the rocky mountains, New England in the fall for example. Got to spend a week at a cabin near the Alleghany National Forrest in October 2015, right on the river. It was beautiful & very peaceful.
Not so into the bar scene anymore. If I go out to a bar now, I'd rather go to a quieter, more low key place to relax & have a conversation. My bar hopping till closing time days are behind me.
My idea of a good first date is something where the two of us can talk casually & get to know one another.
Going to see a movie is good after 2 or 3 dates.
Dinner, drinks, &/or taking a walk is pretty good. If you like to go bowling, putt- putt, shoot some pool, or things of that nature, thats great because I like them too. I feel those are some friendly & casual date ideas that a couple of people can enjoy while getting to know each other.
In the warmer weather, let's go for a walk, go to a ball game, a concert, the zoo, an amusement park, drinks on the patio at a bar, or other things like that.
In the colder months I would definitely be up for curling up & watching some movies.
I can tend to be a bit on the shy side at first but also have been known to ramble on too. Trust me though, once I'm comfortable around someone, I can be an open book.
Not a religious man or into politics. I don't mind at all if other people are however.
Want to know more, than read on. if everything else I've written about myself doesnt answer your questions then just ask.
