My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
And here I am, back in California. I must say, I haven't felt this good in a long time. I am enjoying the climbing, I am trainingonce again (currently in Krav Maga), I am enjoying my new job and all the coworkers that come with it. I'm grateful for this area, the community it encompasses it and the intellect it fosters. So why am I here? Because these things and more take up more time than I thought possible, and the time to meet friends and go on dates just isn't there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm work in patient care at the coast guard clinic in Alameda

Also: planning my trip to China
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I hate saying I'm good at anything, I rely on friends to talk me up. So I'll relay what they think I'm good at:
Martial arts
Dancing( mostly linedancing, some swing)
Picking up and going
Counseling without enabling
Relaying pitch-black humor
Being a film snob
Being analytical
Drinking liquor neat( except for gin or vodka)
Coming up with bad puns
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Many people would say that I am talkative and first. It's only when my tolerance for the small talk dwindles that things get awkward unless common interest can be struck by that time, and even then, social exhaustion has likely already set in. What I am saying here is that I'm a lifelong introvert, but several years of training have improved my social endurance, even caused it to thrive enough that I sometimes find myself in the uncomfortable spot of being the most gregarious person in the room.
Also: good posture, for some reason.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
movies: i love film and enjoy studying it. I'm a sucker for good writing and dialogue. Kung fu movies will always have a special place in my heat. Quentin Tarantino, Christopher nolan, the usual suspects, clerks, true grit, Hero, pan's labrynth, fist of legend, to name a few. Also, in case I haven't already flown my nerd colors yet, Miyazaki's Porco Rosso is my current favorite.
music: 90s rock/alternative is what I grew up with, however blues is the favorite genre now. Hip hop: if it sounds like Jurassic 5, then it's good.
Books: books about astrophysics, psychology, etc. David Sedaris, Italo Calvino, David Mitchell.
Tv: I don't tolerate tv like I used to, but the Simpsons has always been my favorite show, and I have Firefly on blu-ray, which I am unable to play. I can't stop my game of thrones obsession and MST 3k is a childhood favorite.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sense of adventure
Desire to keep changing for the better
Good friends that take a while to get to know
Supportive family back home
Other peoples' intellect
Craft beer and good scotch
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why Arya is the most amazing human being on the planet, and how Sansa is her complete antithesis (though she seems to be turning it around)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sleeping in early, or grabbing a drink or two

Also, say hi if you have skills, languages, thoughts or ideas to teach. If I'm not learning anything, then time is wasted. If you're not growing, you're dying(as an old yoga teacher once told me). I promise to teach equal measure in return.
