My self-summary
Hello and thank you to whoever takes the time to read this. I am a 34 yr old guy who was born in New York State and has lived for the last 9 years in New York City. I've lived in Delaware and Vermont in my undergraduate college years and went to grad school here in the Big Apple.
The following are interests that I love, enjoy and partake in on a consistent basis- The gym, art/museums, antiques/architecture, music/shows, traveling, fashion, tea/coffee shops, nice restaurants, bars/clubs, indie film, wine, and so on. I am a fan of creative types and tend to click well with them. I am a mix of spontaneous and laid back and enjoy laughter and good times with friends.

I am outgoing, sweet, and devoted and hope that I can eventually find a guy looking to start a family of our own so to speak(but not in a rush).
What I’m doing with my life
I am a psychotherapist with a bachelors, masters, and license in social work. If we speak I can give you more info about my career. I definitely have goals for the future which are very focused on the career path I have chosen. Oh and of course, there is the goal of becoming a millionaire and getting a penthouse on central park west as well as a house on the beach....kidding, sort of. :-) In addition, I
just purchased my first apartment! How exciting! Furnishing with old things/antiques/etc, cooking, Yay!!! Now hoping I can pay all my bills. haha.
I’m really good at
Everything that I'm not really bad at. lol. Oh fine, I'll answer this...Although I don't consider myself egotistical, I will stroke my own ego by saying I am good at listening, being a supportive friend, have a good eye for fashion, a good knowledge of antiques/architecture, knowledge/love of jewelry, am a good runner, and I used to be a pretty good guitar player but I haven't played sadly in years. I've also been told I have a really good voice and I love to sing, but I am kinda shy about it. I am also really good at finding awesome bargains on designer clothing....haha. Update: Just starting messing with the guitar again and hope to get better and back into it! YAY!
The first things people usually notice about me
I have no freakin clue. This is a really good question. I've been told that I appear intelligent, sweet, calm, attractive, creatively dressed, easy to talk to. I suppose those who don't like me when they first notice me might say the opposite: dumb, evil, impatient, ugly, poorly dressed, a total bitch to talk to....so take a risk and talk to me and be your own judge. But the former is probably more true than the latter. :-)

Note- I also enjoy fashion, jewelry, and aesthetics in general. I enjoy finding great deals on nice clothing/jewelry and being creative about style. If you are conservative and someone with a little edge bothers you (not outrageous), then we probably wouldn't be a good fit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It's impossible to fill up this space with all my interests but I will say I especially enjoy movies from these directors- Todd Haynes, David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, Woody Allen, Lars Von Trier, Francois Ozon, Kubrick, Bergmann, and a million others. I love films that are philosophical, deep, and make a person think. Music ranges from Blues, Jazz, funk, Reggae, Rock, Folk, Indie, occasionally pop and r&b, and so on. In the food realm, I absolutely love love love sushi, but I enjoy all types of food. I especially love to eat food from various cultures(Paella! I think I will!). I am admittedly a bit of a health nut, but not outrageously. As far as reading, I am trying to start reading more and this has been a new years resolution for the past few years...lol.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Music
4. Art
5. Sex (with one person I am committed to-just to clarify...lol)
6. Love

*Not necessarily in that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Having a good time and trying to make other people and myself happy. Where to travel to, what museum to check out, what music/show/concert to go to, what I hope to do in the future, meeting the right guy, parking my car on the correct side of the street so it doesn't get towed (lol), my family and friends, what albums to purchase, the world and its good and bad parts, and....well ya'll get the idea.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends doing any one of the things I listed in my self-summary as things I enjoy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a massive cock that I have to fold into my sneaker. Lol. I mean come on Okcupid!! Do you really think that I am going to reveal something personal to a bunch of strangers? In this technology age, they can figure out anything they want about a person with practically no effort anyway.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You think I sound interesting, are creative, mature, seriously interested in dating and have some level of stability, focus, and motivation. I tend to like guys around my age and a bit younger, so for the sake of okcupid I will say between 21-35. Guys who have varied interests often related to the arts are a big plus for me. I also have a thing for guys who are crazy and insane. (Joke, but I feel like a magnet for this stuff). After all, we are all a bit nutty anyway right? Lol. NOTE: Not looking for random hookups and those who are afraid of serious dating/relationship should look elsewhere. :-) If intimacy scares you or you are not in the place to be open to the possibility of a relationship if it is to come along, then i'd suggest we probably won't be a good fit.
