Okay, the short form, February 2013. I'm poly, in a committed triad (actually a V), and looking for new connections. I am wide open to wherever a new relationship might go, from lighthearted dating to fun sex to serious emotional commitment -- but I've learned it has to go there naturally. You can't force something in a particular direction (I can't, anyway), and you can't control the way another person feels. So it seems the best approach is to take things one meeting at a time and see what happens.

What am I looking for? I would like to find a woman who is intelligent, funny, reasonably drama-free, have some kind of creative outlet or interests, be okay with the fact that I already have a long-term commitment to somebody else, and of course I would like to find her physically attractive. I'm in good shape -- I don't work out, but I'm naturally lean and fit, and I'm aging well. I prefer women with some curves and softness, and generally am more attracted to slightly overweight than to muscular and athletic. (But this is a general preference only -- I like ALL kinds of women.) And then of course, our pheromones need to like each other so we feel that spark.

What do I have to offer? Sense of humor. Delight in sexual play and exploration. Honesty and earnestness. Goofiness and playfulness, if you get me comfortable with you. Warning: I am usually not at my best meeting people I don't know, although there are the rare few I feel at home with right away. I'm smart and I write novels and have a strong creative side, if that happens to be a turn-on for you. And I've been told I'm a good listener.

For money, I sell classical music LPs on eBay. What I really care about: I write fiction, have completed 15 novels and self-published a few of them plus a book of short stories. I've stopped expecting my writing is ever going to earn me any money, but I keep on doing it, I guess because ... it's what matters to me.

I guess I've got to say writing. I'm my own biggest fan. Just finished re-reading my novel "Daisy Parker" and what can I say, I really impressed myself. (Available from Amazon.com, shameless plug.)

Books: Philip Roth is a favorite author, and I recently discovered Jonathan Lethem.

Movies: My single favorite movie is Obsession, a 1976 romantic thriller by Brian De Palma, who has never done anything remotely like it again. I've got no excuse for loving it so much except that it hit me at just the right time in my life, and I was madly in love with Genevieve Bujold.

Music: Mostly 20th century classical composers and Elvis Costello. Amy Winehouse was fuckin' brilliant but she went and got herself dead.

Food: Oh my god, you name it. Any middle-eastern cuisine, taco bus, hamburgers with fried egg on top, Fritos ... seriously, you name it. Oh, and kimchee makes everything better.

Shows: I assume we're not talking theater here. Don't watch network stuff. I think Game of Thrones is one of the best things I've ever seen that was made for the small screen.
