My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a chef and I've just moved to Wales. I've moved from Manchester and so I am slowly adjusting to the change of pace; going from a city centre flat to a house with views of hills, sheep and.......hills? It's all quite novel and exciting so far. I like new places and I have lived in a few recently; Melbourne, Auckland, Leeds and Manchester (home).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
As above really.

I've started work at a little hotel which will hopefully get a Michelin star this year. It involves pretty long hours but I'm hoping to meet some people to hang out with when I'm not at work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being alright at stuff. I suppose I'm good at cooking, good enough to get paid for it anyway. I have a bronze chess medal from primary school and I once beat a Canadian farmer in a drinking contest and won an ostrich egg from him.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's hard not to notice that I have tattoos but I hope people notice more than that. Secretly though, I am happy that people notice my Keith Haring sleeve because I reckon it's pretty good.
I get told that I have good eyes, but this isn't true because I am quite short-sighted.

People also comment that I'm shorter than I appear to be, I'm not sure what they mean by that though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I have recently read The Left Hand of God and I have the next one in the series sat by my bed, unopened so far! I also like Iain Banks, Nick Hornby, Haruki Murakami, Terry Brooks....

I'll watch most things really but 80s films are usually better than anything recent....they have the best soundtracks! I really like Tim Burton's films or anything similarly interesting (Pan's Labyrinth, Labyrinth, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Coraline)...
I prefer box-sets though; The Wire, The Shield, Lost, Heroes etc. and comedy DVDs; Alan Partridge, Peep Show, Monkey Dust, Black Books, Flight of the Conchords.....I was also a little bit obsessed by the original version of Wilfred when I was in Australia and I can't understand why BBC 3 showed the re-make instead!!

I like all sorts of music, although not very much urban or dance stuff. The first 10 artists if I press shuffle are: The Buzzcocks, Queens of the Stone Age, Tiger Army, Spinnerette, NIN, Feist, Metallica, Bright Eyes, Neil Diamond (!?!), Bon Iver.
I have recently been listening to some Tim Minchin too.

I like most things to do with food and I'm lucky enough to get paid to cook all day. Unfortunately it does have to be ALL day and often at weekends. I love spicy food. Curry, Thai, Mexican. Anything with spices in actually.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Dunno; it's just stuff really. Although my car is pretty essential living here! I'm usually pretty philosophical if I lose thing; I'm sure karma will present me with something in return. And if not, it's an excuse to buy new stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm a terrible daydreamer, so could be just about anything. Usually involving me being some combination of rich, talented, succesful, famous or super-powered.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Work. My weekends are scheduled differently from most people's.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
admit nothing!

you like to say really lovely, ego-inflating, things to strangers on the internet. Or if you're a bit bored.
