Simply put, I love all the simple pleasures of life (a good cocktail, medium-rare meat, summer), but I'll also own up to my ambitions, as ambiguous as they are.

I've traveled a bunch, worked a lot of out-there jobs, so 'settling in' has been kind of a new thing, these past few years. But I'm finding it's more fulfilling and interesting than I thought. No....really.

- Working to make the world a better place at a corporation that is working to make the world a better place.
- Teaching myself new code to play with, though admittedly, I have a long way to go
- Attempting to stay in touch with the world, particularly news, etc.
- statistically speaking, 27-28% sleeping, but that seems a bit high ...
- <3 friends & family & etc.
- paddling (dragon boat)/hike/bike/run/climb/sometimes yoga
-not traveling enough

taking risks, getting myself into awkward situations that may or may not involve evading policemen of former Soviet states

asking questions, perhaps to a fault

over-enjoying crappy movies and music

traveling off the beaten path

putting things--anything--on greens and calling it 'salad'

i can do, like, 8 pull-ups. sometimes.

My favorite movie is Back to the Future. It's not fancy, but it's true. Close runners-up include Triplets of Belleville, American Psycho, Hot Fuzz, Underground (the one about Belgrade, that is), Coen Bros stuff, and a long list of terrible movies I should be embarrassed to mention here.

books: I alternate between fiction and non-. Always looking for recommendations.

radio: Radiolab, This American Life, BBC World News, All Things Considered

music: electronic-inspired stuff, whatever they mean by 'indie' these days, classic country, Balkan. And I will never get enough of Neutral Milk Hotel no matter what you say.
