I'm lovely, no really. Everyone says so. They say 'Oh yeah, she's
so great isn't she? And so sweet and smart and kind, so kind. And
that sense of humour? Hilarious. So witty. Why is she single? I
don't know, it's very curious.' etc.

What I’m doing with my life
Writing, coming up with ideas, getting involved in projects i
haven't got time for. Learning something new every day. Realising
how every year of my life overlays the last, like a mosaic that is
finally starting to make sense.
I’m really good at
I know how to put things, to communicate what needs saying in the
simplest way. I'm a good conversationalist, interested and
interesting I'm a go to person for advice on everything from job
applications to girlfriend troubles. I'm confident without being
arrogant, independent without being detached, and calm without
being dull. I am the favourite aunty of 5 little people.
The first things people usually notice about me
That i'm rather dapper.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
John Kennedy Toole, Alan Bennett, Hans Fallada, Sarah Waters, Annie
Proulx, Sarah Hall, Carson McCullers, UA Fanthorpe, Catherine
Dunne, Ian McKewan, Helen Forrester, it's an endless list.
I'm big into film, and can often be found at the picture house. I like arthouse not blockbuster. I don't know why popcorn was invented but i wish it would disappear. Films i have loved lately, are rust and bone, frozen land, dogtooth, oh, loads. I like films a bit dark, a bit odd, a bit thoughtful. I think John Waters is ace, and so is Lynne Ramsey.
I love music. I am never not listening to music of some kind. My taste is varied and wide. Favourite genres include dirty electro, disco funk, folk, lo fi, minimal tech. Here's a playlist that will explain everything.

Like everyone else i love the Danish shows. In this order, Borgen, The Bridge, The Killing. Why do the Danes' doors open outwards? Sometimes i think i can speak Danish because i've watched so many of them, then i look up from the ironing and realise that i'm totally lost.

The six things I could never do without
I mostly try to practise non attachment. It's handy when you lose
stuff. Especially precious stuff. Like my fountain pen and my
bobble hat through drunk misadventure last week. But, since you
ask, and if I must say, i'd miss these six things.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people do what they do
What the world would be like if women and men were equal.
Stuff i'm writing
Stuff i'm reading
Which songs will mix with which songs
What's for tea.

On a typical Friday night I am
Thinking that Thursday is the new Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to have a mullet. It wasn't ironic. It was the eighties.

- Girls who like girls
- Ages 30–47
- Near me
- Who are single
