My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Call me Ishmael. Actually don't. It's not my name so it will just be confusing. I just put that there so I would seem more intelligent and well read.

I once stayed in a haunted hotel. I didn't know it was haunted until I had a run in with a ghost in the middle of the night.

I wish I could have experienced more in the almost three months I was alive in the seventies. I'm sure something life changing happened to me in that decade anyway.

I like to try my hand at photography, love "discovering" new bands and going to gigs, films, food and doing things to contribute to society.

I'm an amazing cook. It will make you jealous. Really.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
On the work side I am one of those people that earns a few bucks attempting to use technology to solve problems and improve things in general. It's interesting most of the time.

I also have a couple of side projects, I like to travel a couple of times a year and try new things in general.

The rest of the time you might catch me at the movies, some awesome restaurant where I don't need to queue to get a table (almost as bad as paying a cover charge at a pub when there's no band), doing something active at the park, riding around the neighbourhood on my bike or at the pub with some mates playing dice or having a pun war.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Lots of things... but one of the best is retaining seemingly useless information which can be recalled, almost by accident, at a yet unknown time in the future when it hopefully has become entirely useful.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I actually don't know. I don't recall ever asking someone. Oh wait, am I taking this question too literally? It could be my piercing gaze, my goofy smile, and more recently my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
Recently finished The Wind Up Bird Chronicle and thinking of acquiring 1Q84. Currently reading Catch-22. Also flicking through The 4 Hour Work Week on occasion and keep meaning to do the same with Guns, Germs and Steel.

Movies:
One of my all time top 5 movies is Hi Fidelity. I like the book, but this is one of those rare occasions where I can honestly say I prefer the movie. I like comedy and I like classics.

TV Shows:
Arrested Development and Archer are two brilliant comedies that start with the letter A. Archer is also animated. Deadwood was an incredible letdown because they never got to really end it. It's in TV purgatory. There have been several occasions where I have had to apologise because I have only watched the first season of Breaking Bad so far. I swear I will watch the rest soon. Right now it's all about Game of Thrones.

Music:
Favourite artists include Weezer, Justin Townes Earle, Los Saicos, Radiohead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Black Keys, The Smiths, Tom Waits and TV on the Radio. I listen to 'most anything.

I love food, cooking and dining, but I don't call myself a foodie, because it's not a real word and while it's more than a necessity it's not quite an obsession. I don't have an official food blog. Yet. I am waiting for them to become passe and them I am going to single handedly bring it back. It's going to be called "Narcissism and Food"
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Something to:

Read
Eat
Drink
Laugh about
Think about
Listen to
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My next big discovery
Life and what I'm going to do next
How I might find a way to be able to retire in the next few years (not that I would but to have the option would be nice)
Many other things that don't come to mind at the moment as I am too busy thinking about what I think about
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out at a gig or bar or having a night in, most likely cooking and watching a movie that i've selected for personal reasons.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cannot stand dreadlocks. I had a bad experience once.

You think. Because I messaged you first. You liked my profile. You think the term "partner in crime" being used on a dating site is cringe worthy. Just cause you feel like it.
