My Self-Summary
The short version: I photograph terribly (I'm much better in
person), like engaging in a variety of activities, and love
reading, films, and going out to eat. I'm fairly easy-going, care
about my friends and family, and tend to surround myself with
people who are kind, intelligent, and funny (sometimes ridiculously
so).
The longer, detailed version: I have a geeky job, which I love (most of the time)--though not as much as I love some nice gin on a Friday night. I have traveled extensively, and love urban settings. I enjoy reading, and have eclectic tastes in books, music, and films. I get a huge amount of pleasure from the little things: a great cup of coffee, a clean kitchen, a great night's sleep, the survival of the somewhat pathetic plants on my patio...

I teach at a university while I finish my Ph.D. dissertation. Fun,
fun, fun...

Cooking, reading, reasoning, researching, and I can flip my
mattress all by myself (now without knocking over lamps and
trapping myself under the mattress!).

Um, I'm brown. I have a sort of sick sense of humor.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love all kinds of food, and can't pick just one favorite. My
favorite movie is the Godfather. I can't really pick a favorite
book, because I just like reading a lot, and find something in most
books that I enjoy. My favorite music or band changes day by day...

My friends, my family, good books, a good pillow for sleep, and
I'll fill in the rest later.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, art, food, great drink, my friends, my family, places I
want to go, things I want to do, my frequently occurring million
dollar ideas, and my butt and how awesome it is.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I've paid a shameful amount in library overdue fines over the
course of my lifetime (yes, it kind of defeats the whole purpose of
using the library).
