I am a thinker, whose mind is always roaming. I am creative, I usually have one of a variety of projects on the go at any given time. I am talkative but also have my reflective moments. I have a passion for great films and music.

I am quite spiritually oriented, but I am NOT religious at all. I guess I am somewhat of a Gnostic, though I feel that the Universe is unfolding as it should. I am totally in love with nature all its wild beauty, so I love the ocean, mountains and rainforest. Above all, I am a libertarian who believes in live and let live, living gently and striving to be happy.

I am fairly true to the Myers-Briggs INFP personality. I have dabbled in, and practice, many art forms: wood carving, painting, stencilling, animating, guitar, music composition, drawing, writing, photography, digital art. I love long distance skating on my longboard skateboard, as well as bodysurfing, hiking, long drives and occasional tree climbing. In work situations I am pedantically organised, contrasting with my generally cruisy nature.

For all that I am into alternative media, conspiracy theory and a spiritual outlook, I am interested in pop culture, music and personal expression.

I am paradoxical, creative, and caring.

Being true to myself, becoming more self-aware and having fun. And learning, always....

I don't claim to be "really good" at anything... instead here are a list of things that I enjoy doing, how good I am at any of them I will let others decide....

Wood carving, talking, drawing, cooking, writing, body-surfing, long distance skateboarding, buttboarding (AKA classic street luge), caring, picking up rubbish in nature, discernment, having a very open mind, thinking way outside the square, being rational, learning new things, self management, cleaning, designing, researching, staying happy, rhythm guitar, making ambient guitar sounds, making this list longer all the time

my sense of humour, my knowledge of all sorts of strange information, my diligence, my fitness, my personality? I guess it depends on what I am doing, where I am when I first meet someone... this question is funny, is it not? Who knows WHAT the first thing that someone actually notices about you actually is?

Books- alternative spirituality/ conspiracy/ new-agey stuff... some fantasy/ sci-fi/ pop-culture novels... cookbooks/ woodworking/ DIY instructional books.... art/ surfing/ nature/ music/ coffee table books ... reading faves are Tolkien (all), Dune series, Harry Potter, Conversations with God, Phillip K Dick, Samael Aun Weor, stuff from Sacred-texts website, Red Ice Creations, Project Camelot and Avalon transcripts and interviews

Movies- art-house, foreign, dark comedy, biography... thought provoking, funny, beautiful, dark, non-mainstream ....faves are films by great directors such as Lynch, Kubrick, Gilliam, Hitchcock, Jarmusch, FF Coppola, Sofia Coppola, Jonze, Gondry.... Baraka, Lost in Translation, American Beauty, Where the Wild Things Are, Dogtown and Z-Boys, The Double Life of Veronique, Joyeux Noel, Kolya, Stranger Than Fiction. The Aussie film adaptation of Peter Carey's Bliss make me teary with joy every single time I see it, which is quite a few times.

Music- eclectic, dark, ambient, emotional, noisy, funky.... dub, post-punk/rock, dream pop, electronica, lo-fi and classical are genres on high rotation ... Aphex twin, Boards of Canada, The Shins, Low,Godspeed You Black Emperor, Silver Mt Zion, Mogwai, Horace Andy, Massive Attack, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Air, Sonic Youth, Eric Satie, Gorecki, The Knife, Fever Ray, Royksopp,Death Cab for Cutie, Caribou. Lately I have been loving a lot of classical stuff, Beethoven, Debussy, and a perpetual favourite Edvard Grieg. The Arcade Fire, Bjork and Dead Can Dance move me on a deep level. Grizzly Bear is my new fave... lovely sounds...

Food- I love strong flavours, spices, curries and have a weak spot for desserts. I could almost live off of home-made pizza... and free range eggs. I am an intuitive cook and feel that a recipe is a guide not a rule. I have been doing most of my produce shopping from the farmer's markets and loving it, fresh and ethical :-)

When it comes to the above subjects I will say here I that I am NOT a fan of the mainstream. So if you think that watching soapies (or most TV), going to the footy, listening to top 40 and eating multinational junk food is "fun" then PLEASE don't contact me. Better we be clear about that from the outset....

Honestly, there is no "typical" Friday night, so I will probably be reading, on the net, cooking for myself or freinds, seeing a great band or watching a film.

I am disorganized, occasionally contradictory and that I think too much.

You like unusual ideas, great conversation, have a positive attitude toward the world and life, and think of yourself as an essentially good person.
