I’m extraverted, easy going, optimistic and self-sufficient with a good sense of humor. It’s not hard to have fun with whatever I’m doing. I’m well-spoken - my verbal communication skills are better than my written communication skills (long essays are painful!) and I enjoy good conversations. Sometimes I’m organized and like to plan – and other times it’s nice be adaptable and go with the flow.

I’m honest, trustworthy, reliable, hard-working and mature. I am curious, too. Friends describe me a renaissance women because I tend to have traditional hobbies – gardening, quilting, knitting – but I am interested in lots of different active things too.

I like to plan and complete (or hire someone to complete, when necessary) interior and exterior home improvement projects though I am better at destruction than construction. I love all different kinds of crafts, especially small projects that can be completed in a few hours or days. I am a great baker but really need to become a better cook. I enjoy music so my car radio is usually too loud.

I REALLY love being near the ocean!! I grew up sailing and enjoy either cruising (power or sail) or hanging out in my suit with a guy who likes to fish. I head to the beach every free weekend during the summer and read a book, listen to music, swim or just people watch. It would be great to find a nice guy who shares my love of the beach, ocean or fishing!!

While I have a degree in education, I have an innate sense of business which I utilize in my full time position in financial services. My job is ever-changing, interesting and challenging. Work days are very busy but I always try to have fun while getting the work done. I am also very interested in financial markets.

I am getting back to being active. I exercise most mornings before the day gets started and am training to at least walk (hopefully run/walk) a half marathon next fall. I spend my free time alone reading, quilting, knitting, gardening and going out with friends. I also snowshoe and cycle.

I am a really good provider for my family, an attentive listener, patient and supportive of my friends.

People usually notice that I am tall. I am also usually smiling.

I really enjoy reading and read a lot - so many books, so little time! Suspense is my favorite category. My favorite type of music is pop - I will listen to almost anything. I enjoy Italian, Mexican or Southwestern, American and Chinese food. I like action and comedy movies. Musicals are my favorite type of show.

I try to eat healthful foods 90% of the time so I think a lot about good nutrition and how I can have that cupcake!!

Out with friends or curled up on the couch with a good book. If it has been a hectic week I may nod off early on the couch in front of the TV. Those evenings would be great to spend with a guy who is watching his favorite type of movie or we'd just go to bed early ;-)
