My self-summary
I like
12. People who see the world in interesting ways
11. People who communicate in interesting ways
10. Worlds built with words, reading and writing them
9. Music, listening but also learning how to play it and understand it
8. Cooking. When I was 16/17, I started cooking, but I have to admit that I sucked. In my 20's, I learned the basics of how to make good food, so now I can cook instinctively. And I am a fairly decent cook.
7. The uncommon
6. Adventures of various sorts
5. Jokes based on funny, absurd and highly imagetic situations made up during conversation. C'mon, "imagetic" should be a word.
4. Simplicity
3. Damn it, I should have started at 9...
What I’m doing with my life
Learning music, caving (as in going to wild caves), researching the mouse genome
I’m really good at
Writing, cooking, climbing, imagining situations and stories, computer stuff, analysing people and situations. I am usually punctual too.
The first things people usually notice about me
Definitely the giant wings on my back and that I can shoot laser from my right eye. The left does the aiming.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
IF YOU WERE A BOOK:
I would like you a lot if you were passionate like Juliet, dreamy like Alice's Adventures in Wonderlands, wise like The little prince, not a herd animal like Nietzsche describes and a slightly damaged existentialist like Hamlet. I would hope you're not unfunny like Catch 22.

IF I WERE A MOVIE:
I would be jaw-dropping like Pan's labyrinth, awesome like Scott Pilgrim vs the world, dedicated like the Black Swan, pensive like Never let me go.
If you were a movie, it would be great if you were adorable like Amélie Poulain. And not drag me to Inception's limbo.

IF I WERE A TV SHOW
I would be absurd like The office, politically incorrect like Southpark, a little unhinged but awesome like House, smartly funny like Seinfeld.

IF YOU WERE MUSIC:
I'd love you from the first second if you were any of Joanna Newsom's songs. You would definitely need to be indie music. Upbeat like Feist's 1234, crazy and brilliant like Regina Spektor.
If you're like Lady Gaga et al, we wouldn't be a good match.

IF I WERE FOOD:
I would be surprisingly sweet, yet sour if wronged, but definitely hot in the right amount. I'd be rich in flavor like basil and olives, never boring like tofu. And if you bring me to your life, you will crave me like bacon. Hmm, that makes me a little unhealthy too, I guess?
The six things I could never do without
Amor fati
The smell of garlic frying in a pan

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How in this highly individualised society people still manage to be just like everybody else.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am an acquired taste. In a good way. I guess. Yea. I guess.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're more than a music-art-wine-food-culture-travel enthusiast. It's OK if you like those things, but any educated person likes those things anyway. I'm looking for someone who is more special than that.
