My self-summary
Time for a rewrite. Hi! My name is Sean. I've been described in the following ways: nerdy, geeky, eccentric, neat freak, veteran, student and most importantly... son. I'm a little apprehensive with people at first but once I warm up to someone I can quite possibly be the best friend you've ever had or more depending on your preference. If there are "alpha" and "beta" mentalities then I'm most certainly a "lone wolf." I don't like to prescribe to societal themes about how a guy should act. My definition of manhood is someone who isn't afraid to break the norm and strive to rise above what other people want him to be. If you happen to be intrigued, read on.
What I’m doing with my life
College consumes most of my time at the moment. As a result of joining the army, I got a late start in the world of higher education. Halfway to a BA in Social Sciences and I plan to go the distance and teach at the college level in either Sociology or Political Science (both if I get my way). No, I won't bother you with my opinion of politics... unless you ask, of course.

I'll be attending Pitt in the fall for Social Sciences.
I’m really good at
Interpretive dance, especially alone. Does anyone even read this part?
The first things people usually notice about me
Hell if I know. Maybe I should start a survey? "Please check the appropriate box for what you noticed about me first."

... On second thought that's a bit creepy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Uuuuugh, really? Fine:

Books: LoTR, GoT, 1984, Sherlock Holmes, anything Hemingway or Huxley.

Tv: Vikings, GoT (again), family guy, adult swim. Admittedly, I like a lot of shows on SyFy. I call it "bad tv night."

Movies: Fear and Loathing, Fifel goes West (browny points if you know the movie that came before it), many many more. Kind of a movie buff.

Music: mostly Electronic or Metal, but I'll listen to anything that isn't alt country or post 2000's top 40 rap or hip hop.

Food: pretty much whatever you put in front of me.
The six things I could never do without
My car, my apartment, good people, hiking boots, my glasses (such a nerd, I know), and my family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I'm gonna be in 5 years. How policies effect certain conditions within society that then shape new claims about the same condition, or the "social problems process."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Leaving this one for conversation.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I'm pretty convinced that it's more difficult to be a guy on a dating site. The simple fact that there are too many of us who flood women with bland or perverted messages like "hey" or "let's bang" makes for an obvious and general red flag for any girl who has respect for herself and creates a sort of demographic for the type of guys that use this site. More often than I'd like to admit, I find myself looking at a profile and thinking, "what's the point, she probably has a million messages in her inbox." So, if you'd like to speak to me, or if you'd like me to speak to you, please make the intention known.

Also if you want to get out of the city for a day... Seriously, GET OUT OF THE CITY! There's a whole world out there to explore, just because the club's hoppin' doesn't mean it's the place to be. If you much prefer an early morning road trip to a far off trail, I'm your guy!
