I am a 23 year old graduate student in Tallahassee. I currently study Public History with a specialization in Archives and Records Management (in other words, I like history but want to get a job). I'm originally from Georgia so I'm learning how to take the gentle ribbing my friends give me about the only good thing from Georgia being 40 ounce cans of beer. I'm a huge fan of FSU athletics and love watching games on the weekend with friends. I'm very busy with school right now (working on my thesis) but when I'm not working or doing schoolwork, I love reading a good book, going out with friends, and exploring the corners of Tallahassee that only locals know about.

I'm just looking for someone to hang out with and have fun. I've made a lot of friends since I've moved here but I'm always looking forward to making more. Whatever happens, I love meeting new people and expanding my horizons.

Currently graduate school is taking over my life along with my part-time job so if you don't find me on campus, I'll be working for that all important dinero. I'm starting to apply for "adult" jobs now and I'm following the "I'll-move-where ever-someone-wants-to-hire-me" technique to determine my next move after FSU.

Really good at music, played flute and was a music minor in college so that's definitely something I'm passionate about. I like to think I'm really good at coming up with research topics (thus why I want to be an archivist) although I don't want to actually write the papers, just have come up with the ideas and read them afterwards. I also like to think I'm good as introducing friends to different types of music that they may not have heard of and/or liked before. I have a very very eclectic taste and so there's something for everyone in my itunes.

First thing is that they notice my hair is abnormally thick (thanks mom and dad) and usually make some comment about how when I get it cut, I could make a wig out of it! (Already have thanks to locks of love. 13 inches and it was one of the happiest days of my life)

Personality wise, they notice that I'm not afraid to be lame and sometimes what I find joy in or the music I like maybe HORRIBLE but I rock it the best way I know how. It's how I roll.

Books:
I generally like historical fiction or thrillers. I read so much dense material for school that lately my pleasure reading has been mostly fluff. I do like there to be some historical basis so that I learn random facts along the way. Classics for me will always be Memoirs of a Geisha, Anne of Green Gables, and Little Women. It's the girly side of me I guess.

Movies:
I was obsessed with the Little Mermaid when I was little so it's still a movie I pull out from time to time whenever I'm feeling a little down or homesick. I love Hook, because I wish sometimes I could go to Never-neverland. I also really like When Harry Met Sally and comedies such as Supertroopers, Knocked Up, and Grind.

Music:
I won't list everything I like because honestly, you'd be here all night. Some of my favs are Queen, Motion City Soundtrack, Jimmy Eat World, Ac/Dc, Styx, Gustav Holst, Pitbull, Ludacris, Ray Charles, Incubus, and Otis Redding (I lived in Macon, Georgia for 4 years, you HAVE to love Otis Redding). Told you I have eclectic tastes!

Food:
I really like anything mexican or italian (especially nachos and chicken parm) and like good ol' American food like mac and cheese and biscuits. Not a huge fan of most Asian foods although I'm always up for trying new things.

I spend a lot of my time trying not to get freaked out about my thesis and the amount of work I have to get accomplished between now and April. Other than that, I just think about my place in life and where I'm going and what i wanted out of the next 10 years of my life.

No Friday night is typical! Sometimes I out and about in Tallahassee with friends and other times I'm chilling at home by myself reading a book/watching Criminal Minds on A&E (who, I think, have a secret plan to not allow me to graduate because of these weekly marathons). Sometimes I also have smaller get togethers with just my closest friends where we drink a bottle of wine and eat desert.

Most private thing shall continue to remain private. Get to know me if you really wanna know that bad.

You should message if you want to talk to someone really random but totally fun who can hang out at home and also party it up on the town. I'm intelligent so I know how to have deeper conversations but I also can talk about the most ridiculous subjects. I also like football and how many girls are truly into that??
